Three Nights In Valletta

A new installation in an older building. 1 minute from bars and restaurants. Bolt and Wolt cheap rides and delivery. Walking distance to all Valletta. It's on a busy street in a part of the city that is busy during the day.Elevator is brand new and functioning. Bathrooms, appliances, are all new. Maltese balcony a nice sunny place to watch people-traffic.Overall, the VRBO description does not do justice to apartment. Communication was excellent.

Would love to reach the owner directly

It was a good stay but I noticed 2-3 small thing that her contractor had not completed in the reno. I thought the owner would be interested in seeing these pics because most contractors put a time limit on identifying things that need completion. Unfortunately the property manager will not let me provide this useful info firectly to the owner. A

My only complaint about it was a lack of attention that was given when they prepared the apartment for my arrival. I got there around midnight and tired from my trip and there was no hot water in the shower. After taking a freezing cold shower, I finally found out that that is a switch on the wall to heat up the water, but that would take a couple of hours to fill up the boiler with hot water. Other than that, it was all good.

Beautiful apartment in Valletta with a water leak in the main bedroom

The apartment is beautiful in a great location in downtown Valletta. However, the responsiveness of the property manager was poor. On the first night (Sunday) we noticed water leaking from the ceiling of the main bedroom. We called the number listed on the unit's booklet but nobody picked up, so we sent an email with a video showing that the pillows and bedding were wet due to the water leak. On Monday the property manager responded saying that they will linform the maintenance team. On Tuesday, while we were out, someone stopped by the unit and left new pillows. The leak continued on and off during the week (everytime that someone on the unit above us took a shower). And we continued sending emails with videos reporting the problem. On Thursday night the water started leaking through the motion sensor on the ceiling. We raised our concerns about electrical hazard and on Friday the property manager said that the issue would be raised to the owner; later someone stopped by the unit when we were out and turned off the power switches for the main bedroom. We stayed without power in the main bedroom until we left on Saturday morning. We slept the whole week with a plastic bucket behind our heads with the uncomfortable noise of water leaking and no clear plan from the property manager to solve the issue.

We are truly sorry for the experience you had during your stay, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and discomfort caused by the water leak in the bedroom. Please know that we were equally concerned about the issue and have been actively working to resolve it with the apartment owner. Unfortunately, as the leak originated from another unit above, it was beyond our direct control, which complicated our ability to act as swiftly as we would have liked. Everything you have noted has been shared with our management team and we are truly saddened by what happened. Thank you once again for bringing these issues to our attention, and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under better circumstances.
