Unser Apartment ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Ihren Selbstversorger-Urlaub auf Malta. Es befindet sich direkt außerhalb der Stadtmauer von Valletta, einer Weltkulturerbestadt. Alle Einrichtungen und Verkehrsverbindungen sind bequem zu erreichen. Die Wohnung verfügt über einen Balkon und eine große Dachterrasse, bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen und ist komplett mit modernen, stilvollen Möbeln und brandneuen Geräten renoviert. Die Wohnung bietet Platz für maximal 8 Personen und verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, ein Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten und zwei Doppelschlafsofas im Wohnzimmer. Modernes und stilvolles Bad / Duschbad und ein zweites Gäste-WC.

Die Unterkunft ist geräumig, hell und luftig mit traditionellen maltesischen Elementen wie den rustikalen Holzläden an den Fenstern und Balkontüren. Es gibt eine separate TV-Lounge mit Kabel-TV und DVD-Player. Wir haben auch ein Kinderbett, das für Kleinkinder bis zu 2 Jahren geeignet ist. Ausreichend Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind vorhanden. Bitte bringen Sie Ihre eigenen Strandtücher mit.

Große Küche / Frühstücksraum mit viel Charakter (im Retro-Stil der 1950er Jahre) und einem Esstisch für sechs Personen, komplett ausgestattet mit Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Toaster, Waschmaschine und Bügeleisen / -brett. Bei Bedarf stellen wir Ihnen ein Willkommenspaket mit Tee-, Kaffee- und Sandwichzubereitungsprodukten zur Verfügung.

Der Balkon des Apartments ist klein, verfügt jedoch über einen schmiedeeisernen Tisch in Terrassengröße und zwei Stühle - perfekt für Ihre morgendliche Tasse Kaffee. Die Dachterrasse ist jedoch sehr groß mit Orangenbäumen, Jasmin- und Bougainvillea-Pflanzen, einem großen Gartentisch und vier Stühlen, auf denen Sie Ihre Mahlzeiten im Freien einnehmen können, sowie zwei Sonnenliegen.

Traumhafte Ostern

Die Lage der Ferienwohnung direkt am Victoria Gate ist optimal um Valetta aber auch - per Bus und Fähren - sowohl Malta als auch Gozo zu erkunden. Die Schnellfähre nach Gozo (nur 7,50€) und die Fähre nach Cospicua ("Three Cities" nur 2,50€) legen unterhalb der Ferienwohnung ab. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr großzügig, geschmackvoll und vollständig eingerichtet. Schon der Blick vom kleinen Balkon auf den Grand Harbour ist fantastisch - der Blick von der Dachterrasse ist atemberaubend und ähnlich dem von Upper Barakka Gardens, die nur 150m Luftlinie entfernt sind. Die Karfreitagsprozession startet 150m Fußweg entfernt und das absolute Zentrum von Valetta (St. Johns Co-Cathedral) ist 330 m Fußweg entfernt. Besser geht nicht. Wir kommen wieder!

In die Jahre gekommene Wohnung….

Leider hat uns diese Ferienwohnung enttäuscht. Coronabedingt, waren wir dieses Jahr sehr knapp dran mit buchen einer Ferienwohnung.Daher haben wir uns, trotz Bedenken, für diese Ferienwohnung entschieden. Um es gleich vorweg zu sagen…weiterempfehlen können wir diese Wohnung nicht. Buchung und Kommunikation liefen reibungslos ab.Auch vorort hatte Sandra immer ein offenes Ohr für uns. Was die Wohnung an sich angeht, ist sie groß genug für vier bis bis fünf Personen. Leider ist das Inventar sehr in die Jahre gekommen.Die Betten quietschen und knarzen.Schränke im Schlafzimmer sind windschief und/oder wackelig. Die Sofas sind teilweise durchgesessen. Das Bad ist ok.Leider mussten wir erst mal das Badschränckchen ausräumen weil dort noch von einigen Vormietern Utensilien hinterlassen wurde .Teilweise leere Behältnisse…oder/und Pflegemittel die man nicht von fremden Menschen hinterlassen bekommen möchte.Hier sollte darauf geachtet werden das alles ausgeräumt wird. Wir wurden gleich beim Einzug darauf hingewiesen die Toilette im Bad doch nur für das „Wasser Geschäft“ zu benutzen, weil diese leicht verstopft. Die Dusche lässt leider zu wünschen übrig.Das Wasser aus dem Duschkopf läuft eher wie ein Rinnsal.An komfortabeles Duschen ist nicht zu denken. Ein paar Worte zur Küche. Diese gehört eigentlich ausgetauscht.Man kann es Vintage nennen…oder einfach nur alt und verschlissen. In jeder Ritze und Spalte der Küche kommen Ameisen.Türen sind locker und/oder schief.Alles wirkt speckig und vernachlässigt. Wirklich neu ist wohl nur der Kühlschrank. Was die Ausstattung der Küche angeht…sollte man nicht erwarten mehr als eine halbwegs ordentliche Pfanne und Topf vorzufinden.In einer Ferienwohnung sollte da besser ausgestattet werden. Was die erwähnte Terrasse angeht, wird man auch hier leider enttäuscht.Die Sonnenliegen sind alt, kaputt und als solche nicht mehr zu gebrauchen.Ein Sonnenschirm war erst gar nicht vorhanden.Neue Sonnenliegen und ein Schirm wurden allerdings beschaffen. Leider ist die Dachterasse dennoch wenig einladend.Auch hier wurde einiges vernachlässigt.Dess weiteren stören zwei Klimakompressoren mit ihrer Abluft so das man schnell darauf verzichtet dort seine Zeit zu verbringen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist absolut top.In fünf Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der Stadt. Würde man die Wohnung auf Vordermann bringen, wäre sie durchaus zu empfehlen. So gibt es leider keine Empfehlung.

Perfekte Stadtwohnung mit Hafenblick und viel Platz

Die Ferienwohnung war perfekt gelegen, 50 m vom Victoria-Tor. Wir wurden freundlich von Sandra, der Haushälterin begrüßt, die zuvor perfekt geputzt und auch schon von sich aus einige Einkäufe für uns erledigt hatte (Milch, etwas Brot). Tausend Dank nochmal. Das Appartment ist riesig, mit zwei Schlafzimmern, einem Fernsehraum, einem großen Gang, und einer Wohnküche, einem WC separat und einem Bad mit Duschwanne und WC. Obwohl die Ferienwohnung so zentral liegt, war es sehr ruhig. Wir hatten nur 100 m in die Altstadt und 100 m zum Fähranleger nach Birgu zu gehen, auch der Aufzug in die Altstadt (mit Koffer leichter zu gehen) waren es nur 500 m. Wie wohl für die Malteser üblich war fast jeden Abend Feuerwerk irgendwo, was wir von unserem Fenster perfekt verfolgen konnten. An einem Abend zogen sogar zwei Kreuzfahrtschiffe quasi zum Greifen nah und lautlos an unserem Fenster vorbei. Ich kann das Appartement nur empfehlen, es könnte für einen Kultururlaub in Valletta nicht besser sein.

Fabulous! A really great spot to enjoy Valetta.Very clean, we were incredibly well looked after. Sandra organised local taxis who gave us phenomenal information on our way from the airport, and a food pack for our arrival, which meant we weren't scrambling for food when we arrived quite late on the first day!Comfy beds and sofas, brilliant view of and access to the harbour.Easy to navigate the city and find your way back - just head for "Victoria Gate".Quickest way into Valetta involced lots of steps ( several less step intensive walks - definitely check out the lifts at upper barakka (sp?) but we enjoyed the life of the steps!If I had to find any fault with the place it would only be that the shower wasn't very powerful, but it more than did the job so it's really not an issue. I would definitely visit again and would highly recommended. ** Added bonus that the end of the day almost always involved downhill because of where it is, definitely an advantage **

Comfortable beds and quiet! A delightfully large apartment with view over the harbour and small sunny balcony The brilliant Baraka lift very closeby for access to centre of Valletta or steps (but quite a few!). Ferries to Gozo and the Three Cities close by too.Taxi from (and back to) airport arranged by host Sandra worked a treat. No hesitation in fully recommending the flat.

Great stay living like a local. Easy communications and check in. We took up the offer of a pre booked taxi from the airport that was waiting our (very delayed) arrival. Apartment is one floor up 2 flights of stairs in a small block View from the kitchen and living room is of Valletta harbour, across the rooftop area of the neighbouring property, with the seperate roof top terrace giving an even grander view. Worth the 2 flights of stairs from the apartment. Property is a step back in time giving you the feeling of living like a local in a private home. Comfortable but not modern, homely not sterile. In the peak of summer the air conditioning was exceptionally good at keeping you cool. There is a small balcony off the living room that while a little cluttered offers a nice way to start your day with breakfast with a view. Washing machine came in handy, and an additional seperate toilet was a bonus. Wifi was easy to connect to. Short stroll down to the Gozo ferry and the boats to the three cities. Stroll up to the nearby bridge bar and up the steps to all that Valletta has to offer- property is on the edge of the main strip, just along from the upper Barracka Gardens. Perfect spot! One final call out- Sandra our contact for check in and check out was lovely and made sure we had settled in okay. She also provided grocery items for our arrival which was worth the small additional charge. She really made us feel welcome.

Exceeded expectations

Everything about this property is even better than you read! Debra communicated really well, giving us the option of a driver meeting us and Sandra (housekeeper) meeting us and buying essential provisions. Both options were a godsend. Sandra is great- very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was a problem.The apartment location is ideal. Easy to get to the ferry to Gozo or to the 3 cities. There is a swimming area 10-15 mins away and the central area of Valletta is a simple walk. You’re close to everything. The bus station is 10 minutes away and you can go anywhere from there.The apartment is well stocked with essentials. It is comfortable with great air con, comfy beds and seating. The balcony looks over the harbour. There is a washing machine- laundry essentials provided.In all, it was a brilliant home away from home. A definite 5 stars!

Great location!

The stay was great, once we got in!There was some miscommunication about what time we could arrive at the property, which caused a lot of angst because we had booked a full day tour based on what we had thought we had heard about the possibility of leaving our luggage early. After about an hour and some frantic texting, we got in, and it all worked out in the end! Very cute place and great location! Would definitely stay there again!!

Great location

This apartment is in the best location to really enjoy Malta. We enjoyed Valetta, bus journeys to various locations, cheap Bolt journeys as well as comfortably enjoyed the taxi pick up and taking to the airport organised by Debra / Sandra. In terms of the location in Valetta, you have 2 easy options of going to the bus terminus, either via the Barrakka lift or the stairs. Food is easily obtained either from Wembley or the Food court and there is also Spar on the corner opposite St John’s Co-cathedral. There are several street food stalls at the bus terminus or pastizzerias in Valetta. In terms of where we were able to go in just a week, we managed bus journeys to Golden Bay and l-Ghadira bay. Marsaxlokk had lots of great fish restaurants and very close to St Peter’s Pool for the adventurous. The apartment is right next to the Fast Gozo ferry, so we enjoyed a day trip where we hired a car for the day to visit remote beaches. My eldest kids enjoyed a social night life and felt safe everywhere they went. Bus services or Bolt supported their travels. Valetta is becoming more popular now and you can see this with more and more bars opening up whether on quirky steps / roads or other pedestrianised roads. Staying at Debra’s apartment means you are right in the heart of the social atmosphere, yet a block or 2 away, enabling you to not be impacted by any noise. Sandra on the ground was very helpful and there to help with showing us around the apartment.

A well needed mini break!

We loved Malta and everything the area offered. The location of the property was excellent with easy access to the Three Cities and the ferry to Gozo as well as the fabulous Old Town. We certainly got our "steps" in!

Perfect location

In a quiet area, but just a short walk to all the action in town. Overlooks the Grand Harbor. Close to ferries to three cities and Gozo. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars was because the layout is a little choppy . The living room is small.

Lovely flat looking out over Valetta Harbour

This flat was perfect for us with beautiful views over Valetta harbour. The views from the shared roof terrace were prenominal. The flat itself is everything it say it is online. We used the recommended taxi and the driver let us in the flat, which meant our arrival was easy and uncomplicated. We also opted for the welcome pack for 25 euros and it was a very good buy. Easy to get into central Valetta - either upstairs or using the lift ( 1 euros there and back) it was ideally placed for a lovely holiday.

Marvellous Malta

The appartment was in an excellent location overlooking Grand Harbour. It was comfortable and as described. It was well equipped. We arranged a taxi to the appartment and back to the airport from the appartment and a selection of food for when we first arrived. All went very smoothly. The information pack left in the appartment was very useful and it was equally good to have a phone number to call should we need it.

Just perfect

I know everyone uses that word "perfect" for everything and everyone now. You buy a toothbrush and pay and the cashier says "perfect". How can you argue with that?All kidding aside, it really was. For us at least, and we're picky. We also have a VRBO ourselves.And we get great reviews and yes, some lemons too. To us the place and the vibes are key.We loved the roominess of this apartment and the cool concrete tiles. Two bathrooms and...and the bed was so comfy we looked at the label. Memory foam! Sweet.The kitchen is big and drenched in sunlight from the east. There is a little balcony big enough for a table so breakfast in the morning sun. The location a stone's throw from the quai and the Victoria Steps right into the old town.The sun and the view of the harbor? Aw shucks. "Poyfect" as an ex New Yawker would say.

Brilliant location

The view from the balcony over looking the harbour is just stunning. 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants and right in the middle for all the attractions. Very spacious and clean. Plus lovely people to deal with.

Wonderful holiday

This was our second time staying at this property and we were not disappointed. However, some aspects of the apartment could benefit from some TLC. Some of the kitchen cupboard doors are delaminating and some hinges do not work correctly. Since we are getting older we found that the shower accessibility was problematic. A support bar in the shower would help alleviate this problem. Otherwise, all was as expected and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
