Apartment accommodates: 2p/3p; 50m2; Beds: 1 Queen size, 1 sofa bed. Description: the renewed garden apartment (2019) is a perfect accommodation for a couple or small family. It has a living with an open modern kitchen, smart TV, internet, a bathroom with shower, a separate bedroom (with queen-size bed), but in the living an extractable couch can be used for an extra person or for kids (an extra baby-bed/cot is available). The apartment has its own terrace overlooking the garden and basket field and pool and has all the amenities you can wish for.

Excellent Internet connection (320Mbps). Work table and chair available.

Guests may make use of the outside BBQ, the OFYR outdoor cooking or Wood Fired (pizza) Oven, basket field, the pool and the outdoor bar.

Heating and laundry facilities are available at additional costs. We kindly offer the option of extra cleaning at 45 euros for stays longer than 7 days.

Additional costs: bedlinen fee 25 euros and towel charge 20 euros.

Pets are allowed at additional costs (20 euros per pet, up to one week stay) and only under good terms and conditions. Suitable for one or two/three people. Baby cot on request (25 euros) Cala Benirras is facing East.

I am a Dutch woman, born in the 60’s, into a shipbuilder’s family near Rotterdam (Boele Bolnes). My husband (Ronny) and I have five grown-up kids, living in Holland (The Hague & Amsterdam) and France (Lyon) and we are blessed being happy grandparents of Badu (February 2018), Tom (August 2019), Ziggy (March 2020), Mosey (May 2022) and Coline (February 2023)!

As true lovers of nature and sports, we decided to move from the Netherlands in 2016 to the beautiful surroundings of Sintra Natural Park in Portugal. The house that caught our eye in Assafora offered such opportunities, that the decision to accommodate guests was easily made.

After my studies (in Switzerland) in the 1980’s, I was in the lucky circumstance to travel to all continents in our world, encountering amazing and great people triggering my ever existing interest in meeting people. That is one of the main reasons I am looking forward to welcome you at our new place in this beautiful country and to warmly receive you in either English, French, Dutch, German and by now - mais ou menos - also in the Portuguese language!

Joāo Jungle is centrally located near multiple world-renowned cities, such as Lisbon, Cascais/Estoril, Sintra and Ericeira. These places offer you multitude of activities, cultural attractions, museums, culinary highlights and nightlife.

João Jungle, located in the village of Assafora, comprises of the main villa, where your hosts Ronny & Johanna live, a large sunny garden and in the outbuilding of the villa, adjoining the terrace with the swimming pool, the tastefully renovated Ocean Drive studio and Cala Benirrás and Ziggy Zaza's apartments.​

On the ground floor of the main house facing the south-west the two-bedroom apartment Badu's Jungle Apartment is perfect for a family stay with its own terrace overlooking the grounds. There are several charming sitting areas in the garden to enjoy a drink, lunch or a (bbq/pizza) dinner, after a day of activities, whether sportive, culturally or as a lover of natural wonders. The studio and the apartments have all the amenities for a comfortable stay, of course including a private bathroom, an open kitchen and your own outside terrace, but don't hesitate to ask Ronny or Johanna if you miss out on something.
