Very disappointing experience. The listing did not accurately represented the property’s condition or, most importantly, its location. Photos appear outdated. The unit was worn and inadequately cleaned: mildew on the shower curtain, dirty appliances/fans, scratched walls/doors, damaged furniture, cracked balcony glass, rusted bench and neglected planters. Most concerning, the listing stated an 8-min walk to the beach and 2 min to Old Town/Place de la Paix. In reality, the beach was about 25–30 min walking (8–9 min driving) and Old Town about 20–25 min walking. The return is extremely steep uphill, especially difficult in hot weather. The advertised distance was a deciding factor for us.Management apologized and offered two alternatives. Having lost trust, we drove there first to verify the location. We relocated to a much smaller unit, sacrificing indoor comfort for real walking proximity to the beach/Old Town. Altogether, we lost about 4 days of our vacation, with no compensation offered so far.We also had to rent a car unexpectedly, adding considerable expense because the property was not realistically walkable for us as advertised.Key pickup after hours/weekends is inconvenient, apartment doors lack numbers, requiring a video/internet to locate unit. A car helps but adds stress as local roads/parking are challenging. Uber/Bolt are practical alternatives but add expense. Future guests should verify actual distances, terrain & arrival arrangements before booking.
