Cosy character cottage near St Ives with Parking
A traditional granite cottage located in a peaceful hamlet just outside of St Ives with a stunning local backdrop of moorland, sea and fields.
The vibrant fishing town of St Ives is a 30 minute coastal walk or a ten minute drive, it's brimming with great beaches, restaurants, cafes, galleries and independent shops.
When you're not exploring, Quick's Cottage will offer a cosy place to rest and relax. With a log burner, well equipped kitchen, smart TV, comfortable sofas and parking.
From the moment you turn off the B road and start heading down Trowan Lane you know you're on to something special. There is so little traffic down here grass grows down the middle. As you near the end you'll be greeted by a hamlet of granite built cottages and a communal car park.
Quick's Cottage is located in the heart of it about 30m from the car park.
The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven, Nespresso machine, crockery and cutlery.
The lounge is connected to the kitchen via a large archway. With two comfortable sofas, TV, and wood burner it's the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Upstairs you'll find the bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, WC heated towel rail and basin.
Followed by the two bedrooms, one with a double and one with a twin.
The walk to St Ives is highly recommended, as are the three main beaches in the town - Porthmeor, Porthminster and Porthgwidden. Porthmeor beach is the closest and is perfect place to surf.
Being in a rural area the property has water supplied by a bore and the drainage is private. Extremely rarely (in the event of a mechanical breakdown) you may find the water disrupted. Everyone would of course do their best to rectify the situation asap.
Whole property.
We're a local holiday host and live in the area but not onsite. We're here to offer advice, recommendations and help during your stay. We may knock on and say hello if we're passing but we're aware this is your time to enjoy.
Trowan is one of our favourite places, it's a real hidden gem. There is a stark contrast between St Ives and this little hamlet.
Locally you'll have superb walks right from your doorstep with one of our favourites being to Zennor and a stop at the Tinners Arms.
Head in the other direction along the coast path and you'll reach St Ives, with the first stop being Porthmeor beach as you had around Man's Head.
St Ives has oodles to do for everyone of all ages. There is a fantastic art scene, food stops, watersports, and independent shops.
With there being no shops etc on site and public transport not coming to the hamlet we'd strongly recommend coming by car. The access lane to Trowan is single track and narrow in places, we regularly take our mid sized van down here.
A torch may be useful for walking from the car to the property. Mobile signal can be weak here.
No more than two dogs - £35 each

We're a small family owned holiday letting business based in West Cornwall. We live in this beautiful part of the world and are here to assist you throughout your holiday journey.
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
West Cornwall holds a special place in our hearts. The rugged cliffs, clear blue waters, white sands, quaint towns and a hearty and passionate community are all solid reasons.
Surfing has fuelled a love of the ocean, no matter the weather it gets you out exploring, over the years winter has become our favourite time of year. The wild side of Cornwall is dramatic and powerful as storms sweep across.
Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig
Quick's Cottage is a very sweet cottage in one of our favourite locations in all of Cornwall. In fact we'd live up here if we could. You can walk to St Ives but you're surrounded by fields and then the sea, to the West is rugged moorland. It really is special at Trowan.
