PARADISE IN PARADISE

The Healing Garden is one of the best accommodations I booked in Lucca during the past 10 years. It is actually a very large home with a large street level courtyard and a second, more intimate terrace on the second floor. Very large rooms, eat in kitchen, washer/dryer complete this amazing property. Chiara was instrumental in finding and booking this property and I can't thank her enough.

Great location in the centre of Lucca

The apartment has a superb location in the centre of Lucca. It is spacious and comfortable and furnished to a high standard. Great courtyard. The kitchen is more for looks rather than actual use. Too many restrictions and I can’t believe guests actually do much cooking. Plates are too big for the dishwasher.

Healing Garden, Lucca (Review)

Beautiful property with outside space in a quiet part of Lucca but only a couple of hundred yards from the historic centre. Note that it is difficult to get apartments with outside space in the historic centre so this was a big advantage because we had toddlers with us. Spacious accommodation, beautifully furnished and equipped. Cristina (from Lucca Apartments) was super helpful. We would be very happy to return to this property. No air conditioning in downstairs bedroom but this was not a problem when we were there as temperatures were not excessive. May be more of an issue when it gets very hot. A little bit pricey perhaps but quality is high.

Exquisitely curated villa

Exquisitely curated villa (listed as an apartment, but more like a condoattached house) in a quite section of the walled city, very close to the tower. The accommodation are top-notch with high-end amenities that you'd expect to find at a fine hotel. The beds were very comfortable. The technology (tv, Wi-Fi, a/c) was easy to understand. The dryer was an added bonus! Shopping, grocery store, restaurants, and coffee bar within a few minutes walk. Parking is a challenge within the wall, we found parking easiest at Zone 1 using PayByPhone App for $15so a day. It's about a 5 minute walk. Train accesses was easy with frequent schedules to most destinations. We'd definitely stay again. Radio City Taxi was most reliable when needed. There's only 30 taxis in the whole city.

Very Great Stay

Chiara was a lovely hostess. We were worried about getting to the apartment too early and she assured us that it was not a problem and put me at ease right away. The apartment exceeded our expectations in every single category. The location was central to shops, restaurants and the train station. The front garden was lovely but unfortunately it rained nearly every day so I could only sit outside once. The downstairs level had 3 large sitting rooms (one with a huge TV), a formal dining room and a gourmet kitchen that was worthy of a “House Beautiful” magazine spread. The rooms were open to each other so we could all have our own space but still feel like we were together. My husband and I stayed in the prive downstairs bedroom with its own private bath. There is also a nice laundry room with a washer and dryer. The upstairs was for my brother and his family which worked out so nice. The master bedroom is huge with a gorgeous master bath. 2 more bedrooms, 1 bath. Great outdoor balcony.

We love Lucca and the property but never in the summer again!!

The home is very lovely and spacious. Hoiwever the air conditioning is not sufficient for this size home. Two bedrooms have ac but not the 3rd. The skylights in two bedrooms have no shade so be prepared to have daylight enter your room around 6am. Also, we lost power twice. The first time we contacted the office. Alice and Elizabeth were very helpful. The fuse box tripped and once it was located, power was restored. It happened again later that evening but since we knew how to resolve the issue, we took care of it. Again the home is lovely, spacious, well equipped and a perfect location.Also, I must say, the master bedroom and bath are super comfortable just bring an eye mask for the early morning sunlight through your skylight!!!! I would not recommend a summer vacay here, unless you can manage in a 78F , 26C temperature indoors. Lastly, the garden was so nice to enjoy in the early morning And late evening hours. Totally protected and well lit. If I ever visit Lucca again, I would stay here but in April or October.

The temperatures in July this year were extremely high and unusual, that requested massive use of ac and very unusual generated small general issues that in your case, as you noted were promptly managed by our staff.
