Kitchen and Living Area
Entering the house, you are in an open plan living area, with sitting room spaces to the left and the kitchen to the right. There are gorgeous stone walls which give it great character, warm wooden floors and low wooden ceiling and beams have been
painted white and are complemented by the sash windows that have stunning views.The living room area is very stylishly decorated with comfortable couches and a flatscreen TV. From the back sitting room, there is an ante room with access to the
utility room and downstairs WC with shower. There is also access to a back door. The kitchen area has a breakfast bar, bright orange wood units and sleek counters, a double oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer with ice maker and an unusual geometric sink with pot filler tap attachment. The view out the window over the sink is beautiful and washing up won't be a chore with those mountains to gaze at.
Dining area and entertaining room
The unusual feature of this house is two sun rooms which have been built opening off the kitchen area – one is laid out as a dining room with a six seater table and elegant, comfortable chairs, and incredible views to wow your dinner guests with. The other, larger sunroom is what makes this house truly unique – with a vaulted wooden ceiling and beams, and windows all around, it houses an indoor pizza oven
and is also equipped with a bar corner, with fridge and sink (made by local potter Louis Mulcahy), perfect for prepping drinks. There is access to the patio outside to throw the doors open for indoor-outdoor experience in the summer, enjoying piping hot fresh pizza outside in the evening sun. It’s the ideal space for a big family reunion or a group of friends; young and old will love it.
Bedrooms
Upstairs there are four double bedrooms (one with a cot) all with a mix of stone walls and wooden panelling, giving incredible character. While there isn’t a bad aspect from this house, surrounded by mountains and sea, the two front bedrooms both have the wow factor to wake up to with incredible views from the bed of Smerwick
Harbour, across to the Three Sisters, and even beyond to An Tiaracht, the most westerly of the Blasket Islands, on a good day.
Bathrooms
Downstairs, the atmospheric stone walled WC has a large shower cubicle. Upstairs,the main bathroom is stylishly decorated with stunning dark green metro tiles, characterful stone walls and is replete with both a stunning roll top bath, as well a
shower cubicle.
