Windsor Cottage is a high quality studio in a world Heritage Valley
We are situated on the side of the Wasdale Valley with absolutely outstanding views of the whole valley from Scafell mountain , Wastwater and all the way to the sea. The views of the mountains from the cottage windows are memorable .
The Cottage is in a very quiet rural location well away from any main road and if you are looking for stunning scenery and peace and quiet then this is perfect for you .
Please note this is a very peaceful setting . You will have close neighbours and noise must be kept to a bare minimum. No parties , loud TV / music or any other noise is accepted in this cottage nor any of the other properties on site above or below this Cottage. Please do not book if you cannot conform to the noise restrictions noted above. Central heating and EV charging facility, Tesla 7kw or 3kw all vehicle.(book in advance and extra charge )
There is a new kitchen with integrated oven, hob and dishwasher , fridge freezer and all the facilities and equipment for a self catering holiday. You can hike directly from the Cottage. We offer a special experience in a beautiful area with wonderful access to hiking, mountain biking, running, horse riding and peace and quiet. 4G mobile reception is good at the farm but limited in the surrounding area. Full 4G wi fi up to 20mbs service. Two Super King Beds with wonderful mattresses to give a peaceful and inspiring stay in an idyllic World Heritage valley. Close to Scafell and Wastwater for all your outdoor experiences. Set on a mountain farm and great for walking.

Our family has been hosting guests to this amazing place since 2019. Born in the Lakes , brought up locally and have lived in Far North Australia and more recently Wyoming in the USA where we owned a Horse Ranch next to Yellowstone . Now our love and passion is breeding Pure Spanish Horses on our mountain farm .

Guests will come here to access the most dramatic areas of the World Heritage Lake District , Wasdale is renowned for having the Highest mountain in England , the deepest Lake in England, the smallest Church in England and was voted the most beautiful view in England. We have some great local inns to eat and drink, just a short 2 minute drive down the valley. the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is a short drive away and the beaches at Seascale and Drigg have miles of golden sands and are quiet and natural.

If you don't say "Wow" when you arrive and see the view from the cottage then you will be the first ! We love to listen and respond positively ! . We now have wi fi $G up to 20mbs in both Cottages. A very warm welcome to our bit of heaven here in Wasdale . We enjoy sharing our bit of heaven with you all and are on hand in person or by phone to assist you with anything you may require. We are a Pure Race Spanish Horse Stud here at Windsor Farm, but we also have a few Alpacas from Peru along with some Highland Cattle. We hope to see you here soon !
