Villa Oceana, 2 bedroom house with stunning sea views

Villa Oceana is situated at the edge of the village of Jardim do Mar in an area known as the Pontinha or ' little headland '.
It is reached by a 200m footpath from the village square.
It is 20m above sea level with an uninterrupted 180 degree sea view over the surf break and along the coast to Paul do Mar. Facing West, it enjoys spectacular sunsets and moonlight seascapes.
The pool is located on a separate, slightly lower terrace for the exclusive use of guests staying at our three villas.
The village is a 60 minute drive from the airport and looks out to sea at the foot of spectacular cliffs, on the sunny southwest coast.
This tranquil unspoiled village of old stone houses, narrow cobbled paths and lush gardens is widely considered by both tourists and Madeirans to be one of the most beautiful villages on the island.
The village is small with a population of c350 and is noted for its world class surfing. The village has a small hotel with a restaurant, two friendly bars, a village shop and a library with a free Wi Fi Zone.
A new car park at the edge of the village leaves the village square largely free of parked cars. Access to most of the village is by cobbled footpaths from the square.
A seafront pedestrian promenade provides a beautiful setting for a pleasant stroll.
The little harbour has a slipway for small boats, a clean pebble beach for swimming and snorkelling,and nearby beach-bar.
The next village Calheta (5 min. drive) has a busy marina, a sandy bathing beach, shops, supermarket and several more restaurants.
Whale and dolphin watching or fishing excursions can be arranged from Calheta.
A hire car is virtually essential as the village is not a tourist centre and has minimal public transport.
Some of the island's finest scenery and walking are within a 20 minute drive into the mountains.
Including collecting a hire car, it takes about two and a half hours from landing at the airport to reach Jardim do Mar.
