Das Haupthaus bietet Platz für 12/14 Personen und ist 400 Quadratmeter groß, verteilt auf zwei Etagen.
(Das Nebengebäude bietet Platz für 4 weitere Personen – Beschreibung siehe unten) Insgesamt 16/18 Gäste.

Im Haupthaus gibt es 6 Doppelzimmer, 2 davon mit einem Zustellbett und jeweils mit eigenem Bad oder Duschbad. Eichenbalkendecken und gebrannte Tonfliesen im gesamten Erdgeschoss. Voll ausgestattete offene Küche, 2 Wohnzimmer, Esszimmer, Hauswirtschaftsraum und 2 Flure. 120 Quadratmeter offene Terrasse mit Grill. Das Esszimmer bietet Platz für 20 Personen und die Küche ist groß und praktisch genug, um eine Gruppe zu versorgen, die das ganze Haus mietet.
Satellitenfernsehen, gute Internetverbindung, Tischtennis, Pétanque, Spielbereich mit Fußball und Badminton, beheizter Pool (12 m x 6 m) und freier Blick auf die Gärten und den Park. Der Pool ist von April bis Oktober geöffnet und durch eine große Überdachung geschützt, sodass du bei jedem Wetter schwimmen kannst.
Abgeschiedener Garten und ausreichend Parkplätze, Zugang zu 5 Acres landschaftlich gestaltetem Parkgelände.

Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden gestellt, die Betten sind bezogen.
Strand- und Schwimmbadhandtücher werden nicht gestellt.
Wöchentliche Reinigung der Schlafzimmer inklusive.
Im Haupthaus gibt es 3 Doppel- und 8 Einzelbetten mit hypoallergenen Latexmatratzen. Bitte schau dir den Grundriss der Schlafzimmer an, um alle Infos zu erhalten.

In der Scheune als Nebengebäude gibt es 2 Schlafzimmer, in denen jeweils 2 Personen pro Zimmer übernachten können, mit einem eigenen Wohnzimmer. Es gibt ein Gemeinschaftsbad mit Dusche, Badewanne und WC.

The main house was excellent. The annexe was disappointing. The ground floor was unfinished with bare concrete walls and floors. However, we only used it to sleep in and the bedrooms were lovely on the first floor. The gardens are beautiful and spacious. The pool was excellent as was the kitchen. We were a family of 16 ranging in ages from 11 - 70yrs and the property suited all of us. Kate is a lovely host. It is quite expensive but there are very few properties with a pool that can cater for such a large family. Overall, a lovely holiday which we are already remembering fondly.

What a wonderful stay for a family with young children. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and Kate was the perfect host. An unknown corner of rural France with lots to visit. We will come again.

I will give a balanced review because there was lots of great things about this property and some areas for improvement.The property is very large and spacious, both living areas and bedrooms and bathrooms. The grounds are extensive and a very appealing pool which is heated. The kitchen is well equipped and great for catering for large groups.The areas where there is room for improvement would be the annex house, the ground floor is unfinished , while upstairs has lovely bedrooms and bathroom the lower floor is still under construction, please be aware if traveling with children it may not be suitable. The other area is that some fixtures and furniture is past its best and in need of replacement. The outside table and chairs, wooden sunbeds and lounge sofas are rather worn. One of our party inadvertently sat on a bed and it broke the same with the sunbed, when we pointed this and a loose stair railing to the host we were met with some hostility. If you run a holiday let expect some accidents but if maintenance is neglected then they will perish. We overall had a great week and explored the local area. I think with some upgrades it could be amazing

Family Gathering

Our Canadian add UK family met here for a much anticipated reunion. This is a gorgeous property that provided plenty of space for ten adults and six children. The house is lovely with a well stocked kitchen, lots of comfortable sitting areas, and a great patio where we sat outside for meals and evening chats. The grounds are beautiful and we really enjoyed the big pool. Kate was a lovely, helpful host. All in all a great stay!

We stayed as an extended family of 14. Grand parents on the ground floor as they are less mobile however just to be clear there is no en suite and there are two separate steps down to the nearest bathroom - which is very close to the bedroom. That said the grand parents gave their review as 10 out of 10. Other rooms in the main house offered plenty of space and necessary furniture etc. we also used the annex which worked well. Pool was lovely, gardens were lovely, cool, peaceful and private. The outside sitting area was perfect - secluded and sheltered. The kitchen was well equipped and we didn’t want for anything. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. The oven was large and could easily cater for a large group. The fridge could have been a little more efficient/cooler but it worked hard!Nearby Saint Saens was lovely. We walked and cycled around the area. Loved all the chalk streams running through nearby villages. Perfect to visit Rouen and also the north coast beaches for a swim in the sea. Overall we would recommend it as an excellent base to visit neighbouring communities or simply to hunker down and enjoy the peace and serenity of the house, buildings and garden. We enjoyed playing petanque too. Kate was super- attentive, helpful and nearby if needed. Thank you. Would we stay again…?? YES!

A lovely slice of Norman tranquility!

We had a lovely stay at Kate's place, which was ideally suited for a big group of 8 adults and 6 kids under 5. The domain in which the house is situated is superb, with lots of space for kids to play. The weather wasn't great, so the indoor covered pool was a great asset in that regard! The house itself is large and well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The floors upstairs were very creaky and the showers are a bit dated, but that was our only observation in an otherwise fantastic place. Kate herself lives on the domain, which was completely fine for our group but is something for visitors to be aware of. The barn, which has three bedrooms and separate living space, was perfect for one of our families, but is separated by Kate's house in between and is a 5 minute walk away from the main house. Again not a problem in itself, but something to be aware of if you are travelling with small children who would sleep there in the evening -- we needed a mobile app baby monitor as the signal of the normal device did not travel. Big thank you to Kate for her warm welcome and responsiveness, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Memorable family experience with excellent host

Our family had an incredible, memorable stay in the Normandy region, steeped in history, which was based out of Kate’s lovely estate and enriched by her kind facilitation and personal involvement with the welcoming local community. We stayed in the main house, which provided ample private sleeping areas and lovely communal areas for cooking, eating, and socializing (both inside and outside) by our 11 adult family members. The highlight of our stay was meeting with some of the local residents to share remembrances of some poignant experiences from World War II, and Kate went above and beyond to help us make connections and share our stories. Kate has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and the rich history enshrined there, and we are grateful for these deep and personal connections. We will be forever indebted to Kate for her enriching contributions to our experience. We used Kate’s estate as a home base, which was well situated for exploring the greater Normandy region and returning to a tranquil spot for the evenings. The gardens are quite beautiful, and we wish we’d had more time to enjoy the pool and the grounds for playing family games. We highly recommend this estate as a wonderful gathering place for families and friends, whether it be to explore the region, enjoy a peaceful respite, or both. We would love to return to enjoy more time there. Again, we thank Kate for her warm hospitality.

We were a group of 8 adults and 6 teenagers. The accommodation was spacious, plenty of room for all of us. Kitchen is well equipped and plenty of crockery and cutlery. The rooms were clean and there was room for all of us in both the living room and dining room though we had most of our meals on the terrace. The grounds were incredible, lots of space for games. Well equipped with various games equipment and areas for sitting quietly in the shade. The pool is a good size and heated. Kate was very welcoming and didn’t mind the noisy games. We all loved our holiday and would thoroughly recommend it.

Super week end dans une maison très agréable

Nous avons passé un merveilleux week end familial dans la propriété de Kate. La maison est très agréable et très confortable ( nous étions 18 dont 4 enfants) avec une mention spéciale pour la cuisine ( très conviviale et très bien équipée). En plus de la piscine la maison dispose d'un grand espace extérieur où petits et grands ont pu s'ébattre et courir. Nous rêvons déjà d'y retourner. Merci beaucoup à Kate pour son accueil ( Kate est très réactive et très arrangeante)

Family holiday

The property was ideal for the wide age range of our group with areas for relaxation and quiet and a fabulous covered pool which was popular with the children. Very well equipped and comfortable. Good communication with the host and seamless check in and out. Altogether a really great holiday venue.

Excellent séjour pour 4 générations

Très agréable séjour dans ce domaine pour notre famille de 19 personnes, de 1 à 91 ans, répartie sur les trois sites, permettant une vie diurne et nocturne variable et adaptée à chaque génération. Propreté impeccable, agencements charmants, sobres et efficaces. Kate est accueillante, gaie, chaleureuse et disponible. Entre vaches et chevaux, l'environnement champêtre est calme et revigorant. Les espaces communs (terrasse, patio, cuisine, salons) sont vastes et agréablement organisés. Le parc est très grand et bien entretenu, avec une petite note un peu sauvage très sympathique. L'équipement est suffisant pour des séjours de vacances. Les chambres et salles de bain fonctionnelles (à noter: deux chambres en enfilade = 3 lits simples). La piscine est parfaite, grande, protégée et chauffée, confortable. A noter: s'il y a bien une chambre accessible aux PMR, la piscine est éloignée du bâtiment principal et s'y rendre en chaise roulante (via chemin caillouté et gazon) ou pour une personne affaiblie sur le plan moteur est fort ardu . Saint-Saëns, tout proche, regorge de bonnes adresses (on recommande vivement la boutique "Le Verger de la Varenne" et le boucher qui est juste en face: la Boucherie de Centre sur la place principale).

Full marks

A good range of facilities in an extensive property. Maintained to a high standard. No complaints whatsoever except for the proliferation of wasps - but inevitable in the countryside in an August like this

Great Family Holiday

A great place for a family holiday - all 17 of us! Lots of space for children to run and play - the pool was a HUGE favourite with the kids and adults. Super fully equipped kitchen and dining areas inside and out big enough for us all. Not 5-star luxury, but for converted farm buildings in rural France it was comfortable and welcoming. Thanks Kate.

Un lieu idéal pour se retrouver entre amis

Nous avons organisé un séjour entre amis avec des enfants. La propriété est parfait pour recevoir tout ce beau monde (15 adultes et 4 enfants) avec plusieurs espaces grand, on ne se sent pas à l étroit. Salle de bain dans toutes les chambres (vrai plus) grande table pour recevoir au moins 20 adultes et cerise sur le gâteau il y a deux bâtisses donc ceux qui souhaitent le calme peuvent aller dans la petite maison. Les propriétaires sont plus que charmant à l écoute et toujours disponibles ils vous font sentir comme chez vous Et la piscine très très grande chauffe et couverte c était la cerise sur le gâteau

Beau domaine agréable et bien équipé.

Très Bien équipé et aménagé. Nous avons passé un bon week-end idéal pour grande famille. Très bien accueilli. A refaire !
