Within 1.5 miles you will find a shop and within 0.6 miles, a pub and please note that dogs are allowed but sorry, no smoking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Traditional stone-built cottages make up the majority of the village, which also has a few excellent pubs serving food and real ale, a neighbourhood supermarket, and a small high street with shops, cafes, an award-winning restaurant, takeaways, and other establishments. The River Ryburn meanders through the middle of the village. In the neighbouring hills are charming historic weaving villages that were situated in the centre of the Industrial Revolution. In terms of archaeology, the region is noteworthy for its Neolithic, Bronze Age, and Roman road remnants. The Cat Stones are a collection of ancient round barrow burial mounds that may be seen on Rishworth Moor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and home to numerous unusual animals. The annual Rushbearing Festival, which takes place in the fall and features dancing groups from throughout the nation, including Morris Dancers, is another notable event in Ripponden Village.
