Elegantly planned promenades include attractions ranging from carnivals to secluded benches from which to observe the world go by. Bridlington's shops, attractions, restaurants, and historic "Old Town" give an interesting contrast to beach life, where the newest Dad's Army has been filmed, and the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides nighttime entertainment. The East Riding Leisure Centre provides both a swimming pool and a wide range of additional indoor activities, perfect for the whole family. Nearby are the popular tourist destinations of Filey, Scarborough, and Whitby, as well as the stunning Heritage Coast.
