We had the most wonderful stay with Sam & Franco. They are the most gracious hosts. Their home is gorgeous and has everything you need. All of the recommendations were great. The property is close to many towns to visit. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip!

One of the best proprties we have ever stayed at. The house and grounds are well appointed and pristine. Samanta and Franco go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We loved every minute of our visit! We hope to return when the weather is nicer and stay longer so we can enjoy the pool. Don’t miss the wine tour and tasting - it was such a great learning experience and you can taste the love they have for their vineyard in the wines. Simply exceptional in every aspect.

This is an AMAZING property! The villa is spacious and beautiful, luxurious and charming; where modern comforts meet old-world elegance. Samanta the host was communicative and available. She greeted us warmly and accommodated us at every turn. She arranged private chefs, a tour and wine tasting of their vineyard, and a ride back to the airport. She gave us numerous helpful suggestions about where to go in the area for good food, sights, and the best Italian ice cream! The house was clean and comfortable with kitchens upstairs and down. The air conditioning throughout the house was a life saver in the August heat. The numerous outdoor seating and dining areas were some of our favorite spots to eat, drink and be merry. We spent many relaxing hours swimming and reading by the pool. We were able to enjoy sun and shade throughout the property. Our stay here was at the end of our vacation and we left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I have already recommended it to others and hope to return some day to make more wonderful memories.

Our family had a wonderful four-night stay at this beautiful villa which has been meticulously restored to provide all the comforts while maintaining its Tuscan charm. The property itself is amazing with a large pool and plenty of outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy the panoramic views and beautiful sunsets. Owners Samanta and Franco were gracious and very helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. The quaint, nearby town of Castellina was most convenient to the villa offering great shops, cafe and dining options, and a supermarket. We also visited the towns of San Gimignano and Sienna. Samanta arranged for a chef to provide a pizza dinner on the night we arrived and that was fun and delicious. Another highlight was the complimentary wine tasting where Franco and Samanta shared the vineyard's history and how the wine is made. A total Tuscan experience - wine estate, food, villages, shops - and many lasting memories made!

We had an incredible stay at Podere Ferrale Villa! Everything from the breathtaking views to the charming decor, modern bathrooms, and beautiful pool made our time here unforgettable. We truly enjoyed every minute. Samanta was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay, and her husband Franco prepared a delicious dinner for us one evening at the villa—it was a highlight of the trip. Fantastic!

We visited with a multi-generational family group ranging in age from 13-82 and found Podere Ferrale an ideal spot. It is close enough to many small hill towns, Siena, and Florence for easy outings, and then it’s a lovely spot to return to. The property is beautiful, the hosts are lovely, and the house is comfortable and well-appointed. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic place. It was such a pleasure to stay at Samantha’s home. Her and her husband are absolutely incredible. She always went out of her way to help give us suggestions on where to go. Every bedroom had their own bathroom and the amenities were 5*. They thought of every little detail- from the kitchen utensils to bathroom amenities. If they didn’t have it- all you had to do was ask. Don’t miss out on having a home cooked meal by Franco- one of our favorite meals we had. We cannot wait to return!!!

The hospitality was as amazing as the property

Even before our stay, our hosts made our trip more relaxing and smooth - answering questions and preparing the space for us and our kids. Upon arrival our kids immediately adopted Samanta and Franco as family, and the entire stay felt comfortable and truly like home. Despite having just met them, it felt like visiting friends. Their property, gardens, and orchards/vineyards are beautiful - we are still in awe of the hard work they have put into restoring this property while respecting the beauty of the landscape and the history of the buildings. We felt so lucky to be able to experience the fruits of their labor and look forward to visiting again and seeing how they continue to expand. We couldn't recommend this property more highly and believe anyone visiting the area would be so lucky to spend time here.

Absolutely gorgeous property and truly exceptional hosts! Our family had a wonderful stay at Podere Ferrale. After 5 busy days exploring the sights of Rome, it was the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside.The villa has been meticulously restored, preserving all of its historic character while offering every modern comfort you could want. Every detail of the property reflects the care, pride, and passion that Samanta and Franco have invested into creating such a special experience.The property tour and wine tasting were a highlight of our visit, and we’re really looking forward to our wine shipment arriving soon! What truly set this stay apart, however, was the kindness and generosity of the hosts. During our visit, one of our toddler grandchildren had a minor accident and needed to be checked at the hospital in Siena. Sam and Franco immediately stepped in to help and cared for us like extended family. What could have been a stressful experience in a foreign country became much more manageable thanks to their kindness and support, and thankfully everything turned out just fine. We genuinely could not have asked for better hosts or a better experience. It’s obvious they truly love what they do, and it shows in every aspect of Podere Ferrale. I hope to visit again in the future with our family - or on a couples trip. The property is perfect for both!

Beautiful, Warm and Relaxing Stay

The villa’s set up is perfect for large families or groups. Franco and Samanta are kind, helpful and gracious hosts. They were present and available for any request and were excellent company. They even helped us with a reservation when we realized that it would be hard to find food at night with two babies. The work put into the the property is detailed and incredibly thoughtful, down to the excellent water pressure :) , and the open space for eating and cooking. The attention to detail reflects a great deal of care for the property. We enjoyed our stay immensely! Side note about the area: The property is slightly remote (and gorgeous and worth it)- note that take away from restaurants is sparse, so pre-planning for meals (restaurants or home cooking) would be our advice.

Amazing time at Podere Ferrale

We had a wonderful stay at Podere Ferrale. The location is exceptional. It's nearby a great little town and close enough to Florence and Siena for day trips. The house is beautiful, newly redone but honoring the bones of an old tuscan villa. Every room is well appointed, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully designed. The outdoor living spaces are perfect. I will dream about that pool, the olive groves and vineyards forever. Samanta and Franco are wonderful hosts. Having them onsite was very helpful. They were always a text away to answer any questions. Oh, and their olive oil and wine...so good! I just got back and have already ordered some for my family. I only wish we had booked for another week because no one wanted to leave.

Better than the pictures

As charming as this property looks, it actually is even better in person. I’m not normally a review writer but in this case my family and I really want to commend Samanta and Franco for the amazing property they are building. They were incredibly accommodating for our multigenerational family (including our 2 year old daughter), going above and beyond to make it feel like a home during our stay. The lodging itself strikes a really nice balance by being rustic in ways that let you appreciate the history of the region while also having great creature comforts in the form of central air, modern bathrooms, and a renovated kitchen. The location is ideal for day trips in the region (Siena, Florence, etc), the views are stunning, and they are producing a lovely Chianti + EVOO on their land. We just ordered a case to be shipped home after our stay; it was much better for our tastes than the highly rated Fonterutoli, which is nearby. The road leading up to their property is quite a long dirt one, so I’d advise renting an SUV, but once you’re there it’s breathtaking.

Traumhaftes Haus mit liebevoller Betreuung

Unser Aufenthalt war vom ersten Moment an perfekt. Sam, Franco, Luna und Django (die beiden Hunde) haben uns begrüßt und willkommen geheißen. Bei jeder Frage kann man im Nachbarhaus klopfen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und die beiden machen sie fleißig immer noch besser.
