The property itself is a lovely building with modern, high-tech décor, located in a beautiful village with good access to local sights. The home was spotlessly clean and welcoming, providing a comfortable stay.
However, a few aspects could be improved. The presence of a ring doorbell felt somewhat intrusive for temporary accommodation. Communication from the host, while well-intentioned, was quite frequent before and after our arrival, and felt a little overwhelming after a long 11-hour journey, particularly during check-in when we would have preferred a quieter arrival.
For guests travelling with dogs, the property is less suitable. There is no enclosed outdoor area, and we were advised to use the local green down the road. Unfortunately, due to heavy rain, this proved difficult and the dogs were uncomfortable, which led us to leave earlier than planned along with other personal reasons.
Overall, the house is beautiful and very comfortable, but it may not be the most practical option for guests with pets or those seeking a more private and low-key experience. The photographs are not reflective of the actual property giving a more spacious feel. However, it’s quite cramped and you can hear next door go up the stairs and share a drive. A little squashed but very well maintained.
Finally, there is only one toilet. It is situated in the middle bedroom. So you have to walk through someone’s room to get to the toilet and shower/bath. Nevertheless, the bathroom probably has had the most money spent with state of the art shower and lighting.
