We came to Brixham with my husband’s family to celebrate his 40th birthday, we chose Admirals because we needed 4 bedrooms, to be close to the town and a place which allowed dogs. The photos were beautiful on the website and we were looking forward to our stay. We were faced with issues straight away really.The fridge was broken and spoiled our food, we’d spent over 100 on food for the week which had to be thrown away. A replacement fridge was dropped off to the neighbour and we had to collect it ourselves, not something you want to be doing on your holidays!The dishwasher didn’t always work first time and so we had to wait hours for a cycle. Appliances should be tested before guests arrive.Housekeeping needs to be improved. The cottage needs a deep clean - especially carpets and the bathroom. I had to buy cleaning products and bleach the bath mat before I let my daughter have a shower, it was full of mould. When we alerted luxury coastal of these issues, they were unaware, although, the previous guest had left a bad review which included the same problems as we endured.The cottage itself is nice, the bedrooms were lovely, beds comfy, plenty of cupboard space, but housekeeping lets it down.
