We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the property during July/August 2022. The apartment is cosy but a good size for a family of four. The views over the river are beautiful. The house is well-equipped for cooking and washing. The wifi works well. The location is breathtaking, with narrow, winding lanes and many ancient buildings and features surrounding you at every turn. Overall, the experience was very positive. We did find driving up to the property very challenging! The street leading to the property is extremely steep and narrow, and (according to local people) the property itself is only accessible from the Rue du Barry direction (i.e. coming up directly from the end of the main bridge in to Roquebrun). This could be made clearer in the property listing. Also, we were only told after we had embarked upon our holiday (staying first elsewhere in France) that bed linen and towels could be rented for the duration of our stay. We realise that different properties have different policies with regard to linens/towels, but we feel this should be made clear in the property listing or at least, communicated at the time of booking. The property manager waived this charge after we queried it, due to the fact that we were only staying for three nights.. We felt the property might have been cleaner - particularly plates and cutlery, and the nozzle for the fridge water dispenser - given that we were charged a substantial cleaning fee for our stay.
