Lovely relaxing stay

What a lovely apartment to stay in. Had everything one could need and immaculately clean. Just 5 minutes walk to Monkgate and then you are right by the Minster. Quiet and parking nearby if needed. Lots of food shops to choose from if needed. Thank you for accommodating me and would very much be booking again. Communication with the office was also excellent.

Excellent place to stay in York

Perfect accommodation and location for 2 people wanting to explore the city. A quiet flat only a few minutes walk from the bustle of York. Everything in the flat was comfortable and in good condition and we would definitely stay there again if revisiting York..

Great place, nice to stretch out after stays at much smaller places. Everything needed close to the center of town. Only complaint was the bath soap!

Great base for a city break

The apartment was spotless and very well equipped, it had everything we needed for a city break or even a longer stay. The main living room / dining area and kitchen is large and spacious. Although close to the university, the area was quiet, clean, well lit, and felt safe. The location was ideal for visiting York without a car, it was an easy 10 minute walk to enter the city through Monk Bar (an entrance through the walls). We would certainly stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. The process of booking through Stays York was simple, with plenty of contact and a welcome file provided before the stay.

Clean, renovated, ideally located.

The unit is right by St. John’s University, ideally located to be near my student but also in walking distance to the city center. The kitchen had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again.

Property was beautifully clean and well presented. Everything was provided for a couple staying. We were there over Christmas and there was a pretty tree and decorations, which were very nice. A nice welcome pack was provided - wrapped for Christmas! Location of property is excellent for visitor attractions of central York.

Flat in York

This flat was extremely conveniently placed. Just 12 minutes walk into the centre of York and all its attractions. Plus a designated parking spot, absolutely invaluable. The flat was small but extremely comfortable. Would definitely book gain.

A highly recommended, clean, comfortable accommodation

What a refreshing change to find an accommodation with no negatives! The apartment was scrupulously clean and very well appointed. The bed was comfortable, the shower was superb, hot and powerful and the welcome pack was indeed very welcome, thank you The surroundings were very quiet with lots of greenery and trees but within flat, easy walking distance to the city. The kitchen contained everything you would need and to have a washer dryer was a real bonus so we could do our washing the night before we left. Bliss All in all I wouldn't hesitate in recommending 6 St. John's Mews as a base to stay when in York

Lovely apartment in a quiet neighbourhood

The booking process was excellent, with great communication throughout. The apartment was easy to find and access using the key safe. It is located in a quiet residential street just outside the city walls and is handy for all the sights in York. I didn't have the use of a car for my stay, but easily managed to get to all the sights and attractions in York from the apartment due to its location. The property was spotlessly clean, and had everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. I would be very happy to return!

We might be back again

We rented this apartment for the third time as it is excellently located in relation to the rest of the family in York. It is also in a quiet area and there is almost no traffic or noise in the neighbourhood. We only have two things that we wish were better and it concerns the furnishing of the apartment, one is that we missed a coffee table and two that the bed was very high (maybe because of the drawers underneath).

Perfect for Us

We we're very pleased with this apartment. We loved the spaciousness with a kitchen area, dining area and sitting room. It gave us the space needed to relax after a long day in York. The bed was very comfortable. The entire place was spotless. Instructions on how to check in/out were clear and simple. The location was prefect. It it about two blocks from the wall so it was quiet and very little traffic. There's a small grocery store within 2 blocks. When coming back to York, we would definitely look to stay in this place again.

A lovely apartment with all you need for a great visit to York

The apartment was airy, warm and spotlessly clean, with everything looking brand new. The kitchen area had everything I needed and I particularly appreciated that a teapot was included! The shower is great. The instructions and recommendations were helpful. The location was quiet but less than a 5 minute walk to the city walls and all that York has to offer beyond. I didn't need parking but there is a car park a minute's walk away. It's a modern apartment so if you want historic charm, it might not be for you, but there's so much, literally just outside the door, I hardly think it matters.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you found the apartment clean, comfortable, and well-equipped — and we love that the teapot was a highlight! It’s those little touches that can really make a difference. We’re also glad you found the location convenient and peaceful — being close to the city walls while still enjoying some quiet is definitely a bonus. Your note about the modern style is spot on, and we couldn’t agree more — with so much history right on the doorstep, it’s the best of both worlds. We’d be delighted to welcome you back next time you’re visiting York! Kind regards, Molly Stays York
