Charming and Fully Refurbished 2 Bedroom Gite on the Charente/Dordogne Border

Officially rated 3 star by Charente Tourisme, our lovely self contained Gite has been fully refurbished for opening in 2022. It is situated on the edge of the beautiful village of Edon in The Charente and is approached via the village of La Rochebeaucourt. The Gite which is attached but separate to the main house is located on a quiet no through road and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland.

Ideally located for many beautiful towns and attractions, close by are Villebois Lavelette, Brantome and Auberterre all within easy reach. Angouleme is only 25 minutes drive away so ideal for the festivals including the famous Circuit des Ramparts classic car races in Angouleme

The accommodation consists of a fully equipped newly fitted kitchen with all new appliances including cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. The refurbished shower room has a new shower cubicle, basin and WC. The lounge has a comfortable sofa with Freeview satellite TV and a dining area with table and 4 chairs plus a fireplace with electric stove. There is also a high chair available

Upstairs, Bed 1 has a king size bed with luxury bedding, storage cupboard and dressing table. Bed 2 has twin beds and is ideal for children. We also have an additional cot and stair safety gate.
Everywhere has been freshly decorated, all the linen and towels are new and included.

Outside is a private covered terrace for al fresco dining and guests have the use of a large garden and woodland.

In summer when the weather is hot, our Gite tends to stay cool but if guests require air conditioning, a portable unit is available for a small daily charge

The Gite is ideal for a couple seeking peace and quiet or a family with children looking to explore our beautiful countryside and attractions.
