Arranged over three floors, the elegant living room can be found on the first, and with access out to a small, unfurnished terrace it’s the perfect place to enjoy lazy afternoons curled up with a cup of tea and a good book – doors open and the sea air drifting in. Sharing this floor is a spacious twin bedroom (which can be made up as a king); the utterly gorgeous family bathroom; and the magnificent master suite with king size bed which has its own wall-less shower room for an added touch of decadence. Sprawling across the second floor is a sleek open plan entertaining space made up of a fully equipped kitchen and a roomy dining area. This floor spills out onto a fabulous, furnished terrace with views over Fistral and out to sea, so for a light lunch or evening drinks, there’s no better spot to while the hours away.

Upstairs at the very top of the maisonette, a lovely triple aspect bedroom along with a second twin and a shower room, create a fantastic option for families with children in tow, but is equally well-suited to two couples sharing the floor as the twin beds can be linked to form a super king size bed.

Just five minutes’ walk from Ocean View, the town centre bustles with life as its restaurant scene and surf culture add an energetic vibrancy to its streets, and for visitors of all ages the town’s aquarium and zoo are two great choices for spending a family-friendly morning or afternoon together. However, its Newquay’s iconic beaches and wave-based lifestyle that draw holidaymakers to this slice of Cornish coastline all year round, so if you fancy suiting up and heading out past the breakers, there are numerous reputable board hire companies and surf schools available right on Fistral’s doorstep.
