Hi, sorry that you had some trouble with the directions that we provided, as stated previously, GPS would not get you to the cabin, many guests have attempted to ignore our printed directions and have gotten lost. The cabin was cleaned/sanitized and inspected just prior to your check in time of 4:00, but, yes, it is a cabin in the woods, so sometimes insects/spiders tend to move quickly. Also pollen from the trees does cause a bit of dust at times. We will check out the water pressure? No one has ever mention that, maybe the shower head needs cleaning, thanks for letting us know, we will get right on it. Thanks for choosing to stay with us.

Some guests just do not realize that these are cabins, nor 5 star hotel rooms

In the infromation that was forwarded, we do say that the door will be unlocked prior to your arrival and the key will be on the counter. Not sure what is meant by "the area is pretty ugly"? there is an great view from the deck out over the lake and at the time you were there, the leaves were changing, the property is pretty private, cabin is surrounded by trees? Not sure whose dogs were barking? but if you had reached out to me, I would have found out and reported them if necessary. As stated in the information provided to you, the lake front is located down a pathway, a short 3-5 minute walk down a very gradual slope, by no means steep. Yes our policy, for the past 12 years has always been that the guests have a choice of providing own sheets and towels OR there is the option of having us peovide them at a rate of $25. per guest.(clearly stated on the rental site). This is a rustic cabin, it was cleaned just peior to your arrival, very surprised that mice/bugs had entered the cabin just prior to your arrival and make a mess? Also, cabin is heated by a propane heater in the kitchen area, electric baseboard heat in each bedroom and bathroom and a woodstove with enough wood provided foe 2-3 days. You should have contacted us if you had any problems, the toaster oven works fine and no other guest ever mentioned that the main oven did not work properly? but I will check it out now that I know that there might be a problem. All information was emailed to you 2 times in regartds to additional wood/following written directions because gps will not take you the correct way/bringing linens and towels/etc. Once again, we should have been notified of any problems and we would have responded quickly.

Thanks for your response. In the manual that is in the cabin, there was specific instructions on how to access the kayaks/canoes/life vests/paddles,etc. We also send attachments prior to your arrival. Thanks

This is a cabin, as we clearly advertise, there is sufficient heat, we have had renters stay over an entire winter season with no problems. There are electric baseboard heaters in each of the downstairs bedrooms and the bathroom, there is also a very efficient woodstove in the living room area that will heat the entire home, and a back up propane wall heater in the kitchen. Not sure why the guset thought that the "cabin" was going to be larger? It is a 4 bedroom cabin and yes, the living room is the original restored log cabin with 6' cieling, alll other rooms have 8'+ cielings. The rates are clearly listed along with information stating that we ask that the cabin be left in same condition as found, otherwise there will be a cleaning charge. Place was left in deplorable condition. The following is some previous correspondance with this guest. PS-Yes...I was the 1st one to look at it and immediately called the cleaning crew to come in early...what I noticed as I walked into the cabin was the strong beer oder and the sicky floors and counters, tomato sauce all over stove top & side, when the cleaning crew arrived they let me know that some of your guests slept on the beds without sheets(not sure why since you had enough) several of the comforters had to be washed/dried, floors had to be washed 2-3 times to remove the sticky beer/soda whatever?, stuff had to be removed from refrigerator and refrigerator had to be cleaned, etc...normally it takes the crew 15 minutes to look the place over and ready it for the next guests(our rates do not include cleaning fees) we asked that you leave the cabin as you found it...it did take them 3 hours to get cabin back in shape(I only charged for 2, they charge $50. per hour)...not sure what the place must have looked like before you cleaned it up???
