The property was spacious and clean. It overlooked excellent scenery. The cooking facilities was well organised and equipped.More toilet paper could have been useful. The doors were very noisy and you could hear people talking in the adjacent rooms which wasn't restful when trying to sleep.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The peaceful surroundings and sounds of nature are soothing for both the mind and the soul. We were greeted upon arrival, and the house was clean and ready for us. The pool was a welcome respite during the heat wave. We played for hours as a family together. The surrounding village of Maroulas is a fantastic piece of history to explore. The people are so welcoming and gracious. Be mindful you would need a car to get in and out, and the access roads are a challenge to a smaller low horsepower vehicle. An experienced driver would likely have no problem. It is a beautiful piece of calm space where you feel far away from everything, yet very much near the bounties of the island. Platanes beach is nearby and not to be missed. The local taverns are a walk away with healthy, local sustainable foods. The views from the villa are exceptional from every vantage point of the home. You feel you are in such an exclusive private oasis. We did not miss one amazing sunset, and ensured we “came home” to Maroulas to watch every evening. We only had four days, but I could have spent weeks. We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary in such a memorable fashion. Thank you again for being a part of our vacation memories.

I cant say enough about this villa and its secluded location. My family recently returned home from the property and had the best time! Villa Spiridoula and Maroulas/Rethymno were perfect for my family. We loved alternating days between exploring different beaches and having relaxing days at the villa. There are many excellent beaches nearby and also great restaurants, tavernas, and bars within a few minutes ride from the villa, and the sea is only 8 minutes ride away. The property is very charming and clean and ideal for a family. The villa had everything we needed. I havent felt so relaxed and connected to a place in a long time. The villa was spotless on arrival and extremely cozy. The beds were nice and we all had a good nights rest. Working with Agni Travel was also great as they were also a quick phone call away to answer any questions. Overall, highly recommended. You are sure to be satisfied and relaxed during a stay in this villa.

Fine - but there are much better places

The property is as described but be warned access requires you to travel up some very steep and very narrow lanes which will test your driving skills. Our sat nav directed us to a lane which was simply impassible. The property is fine but when we stayed there was an infestation of ants in the kitchen and some other issues. I would have expected when paying more than €1300 for a week to be provided with some basics like washing up liquid and extra toilet rolls rather than having to provide them myself. Both showers were broken and most alarmingly I got a mild electric shock from one of the light fittings by the bed. Beware! The kitchen equipment is very poor - there was no chopping board and too few plates/glasses and mugs. I would also have expected some cereal bowls. Overall it’s an OK place to stay but I would shop around before committing.

Stunning views well maintained garden. Impossible to find, appalling directions from Agni travel !!

Villa was a nice location and well maintained garden and pool. The cleaner and gardener very friendly and helpful The check in process marked with a 1 as directions awful. A pin point on a google map, we arrived in the dark, it took 3 hours of driving up/down mountain roads, trails and paths to find the place, very dangerous in the dark. We left Chania airport 11am and arrived 3am We asked local taxi drivers to take us up and we'd follow by car they could not help. We phoned the UK 24 hour number he could not help, we phoned the property manager no answer (this was 2am) A few simple directions would have helped. One of the party needed an ambulance, even the local emergency services could not find the villa. we had to drive to Auto Diagnostics at the bottom of the hill and meet the ambulance. If you go to the village of Maroulas there is no road through to the villa, this is the mistake we did also the ambulance drivers. If the directions had said navigate to Auto Diagnosis address Epar.Od. Platanon-Moni Arkadiou, Rethimno 741 50, Greece, then take a very tight right just past the garage follow up the mountain road this would helped massively

Ruhige und schöne Villa

Für 10 Nächte Übernachtung,haben wir uns genießen,alles gute ,Sauberkeit …..außer eine Klimaanlage,die kühlt nicht ,glaube immer noch funktioniert nicht 😅,keiner Techniker meldet sich zurück und der kommt nicht.aber trotzdem ging es schon 👍

Traumhafte Lage, Haus okay

Also die Lage ist einfach traumhaft und lässt über die meisten Mängel drüber wegsehen. Der Pool hat auch eine gute Größe, könnte nur etwas sauberer sein. Besonders die Fugen. Die sind fast schwarz. Aber gut, wir hatten trotzdem Spaß darin. Das Haus ist ganz gut ausgestattet, vom Toaster über Kaffeemaschine alles dabei, nur leider keine Spühlmaschine, und wer hat Lust seinen Urlaub mit abwaschen zu verbringen. Aber nun gut, hätte mir bei der Ausstattung auffallen können. Leider gibt es nur ein Messer im Haus, was bei 5 Personen echt schwierig ist. Dafür gibt es reichlich Obstmesser, aber damit seinen Toast schmieren ist Herausforderung. Leider gibt es auf der Küchenzeile viele Ameisen und die sind echt nervig. Vor allem wenn man morgens wach wird und beim Kaffeekochen auf eine Ameisenkolonie stößt. Zum Glück hat uns Gianni (der Mann für alles) mit einem Mittel versorgt. So blieben sie für einen Tag weg. Die Wände im Wohn- Essbereich sind rosa. Nicht gerade die schönste Farbe, aber das ist Geschmacksache. Stündlich wird ein Raumduft versprüht, was nicht wirklich angenehm riecht, aber man hält sich ja zum Glück meist draußen auf. Oben ging in einem Zimmer die Klimaanlage nicht richtig. Mal kühlte sie, mal kam nur Wind. Allem in allem eine schöne Anlage in traumhafter Lage, nur sollte das Haus auf Stand gebracht werden.

Séjour agréable à la villa Spiridoula

Nous avons passé deux semaines dans la villa Spiridoula qui se situe dans un endroit sécurisé avec 3 autres villas. C'est très calme et l'organisation géograpique permet de ne pas se déranger entre "locataires". Yanis vit sur place et s'occupe des maisons. Il est toujours présent si besoin ! Merci de nous avoir donné de bons oeufs frais dès notre arrivée. Durant le séjour, nous avons eu un petit souci de robinets dans les salles de bain qui a rapidement été réglé par des professionnels que Yanis a contacté. Le ménage est très régulièrement effectué (changement de draps et serviettes tous les 3 jours). La piscine est agréable et la vue magifique et apaisante. Seule recommandation, certains équpements mériteraient d'être changés car un peu vétustes (machine à café, poêles...) La villa est très bien placée car à quelques minutes de Lidl (pour les courses c'est appréciable), des plages et de la grande ville de Rethymno. Nous avons également testé le restaurant katerina accessible à pied :-) l'accueil et les plats traditionnels sont très bons. La vue est magnifique. Vous passerez un bon moment !

The villa was perfect. The location was great. Only a few minutes drive from the main town but you felt like you were miles away from anywhere. The property manager and the cleaners were really friendly and looked after us very well. I would certainly recommend this villa to anyone thinking of visiting Crete.

Perfect Villa

We stayed in Villa Spiridoula for 11 days. Everything about the villa was perfect. The location is secluded from the nearby properties for privacy. Its really easy to drive to and easy to park. The main town is only a 5 minute drive away but you feel like you're far away from everything. The taverna katerina is a short walk away and totally worth it for the food, the views and the friendly owners. Our property manager was always on hand to help with any questions we had, and with supplying us with locally grown fruit and veg which was delicious. The cleaners were very friendly and did a great job. Very respectful and always tried to come when we were not at the property. Overall I would recommend this villa to anyone who is thinking of going to Crete. It was perfect.

It was a beautiful spacious well-equipped villa in a peaceful hillside location approx 15 mins drive from the center of Rethimno where there was plenty of life if you want it. The kids loved the occasional dip to the pool. Villa Spiridoula is very spacious and we were grateful for the comfort of the sitting room in the villa as the weather was unseasonably chilly at night. We do rent a hire car as we wanted to visit also other places in Crete. There is no better way to enjoy an evening meal than on the veranda of Villa Spiridoula and enjoying the incredible sunsets. We hope to return soon!

The location fully met our desires to where we could do day trips with ease and still have time to take advantage of the private pool and more local things to do. Set in beautiful countryside, the villa was very comfortable and private. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces both around the BBQ, pool and on the terrace! We liked the morning and evening cool sea breeze while having our breakfast and dinner at the terrace and upper balcony. Also really enjoyed the sea views and sunsets from there. We had a great time at the property and were every day amazed by how lovely the places Maroulas and Rethymno are ( both reachable within a short 5-10 minutes drive) The villa is cozy, has more than everything you need, wonderful grounds, pool everything! Very satisfied that we booked this villa for our current holiday destination and we definitely book it again for the next year.

We holidayed in Crete and stayed at the wonderful Villa Spiridoula for 10 days in August 2019. I can’t rate the villa or Crete highly enough. From the location over looking the bay to the cleanliness of the villa and the pool everything was first rate.
