Imagine falling asleep to the gentle rhythm of the ocean and waking up to beautiful sunrises over the sea. This stunning hideaway is located directly on Playa Chica (in Las Gaviotas) at the foot of the Anaga mountains in the untouched southeast corner of Tenerife.



Adored for its modernist interior and outstanding modern architectural design by renowned Tenerife architect Luis Cabrera. This modernist hideaway will evoke inspiration and leave you feeling completely relaxed.



The apartment



The interior is inspired by the modernist architecture of this unique building that falls vertically onto the beach below. The building was designed in 1972 by Tenerife-born architect Luis Cabrera who studied with Le Corbusier. The building is recognised as one of the finest examples of the modern architectural design of the 20th century.



Open-plan living room



The open living space is wonderfully bright and airy with sliding doors that open to the terrace with a stunning view of the beach below.



The living room has a Scandinavian plank sofa/day bed and vintage lamps that invite you to kick back and read a book or listen to music.



In the lounge area, there are recessed bunk beds built into the wall, ideal for children.



In the center of the room is a round tulip dining table with four original Eames chairs. Perfect for long lazy lunches.



There’s a selection of board games, beach games, books, children's toys, drawing materials, and bodyboards.



Kitchen



The stylish and functional kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious meals, with built-in appliances and cupboards.



As well as all the kitchen essentials, the kitchen is equipped with:

Terrace



You will love relaxing on the sun-filled terrace and eating breakfast with a spectacular view of the sunrise over one of the best beaches in Tenerife for privacy.



Bedroom



The blend of rationalist and modernist interior design runs throughout the apartment to the calm and elegant bedroom.



Designed with rest and relaxation in mind, there’s a low double bed raised on a pine plank (150 cm) with a futon mattress (135 cm) and crisp white cotton linen and a view of the ocean.



The bedroom has sliding doors that lead to the sun-filled terrace.



In the hallway outside the bedroom, you will find built-in wardrobes to hang your clothes and store your personal belongings.



Bathroom



The aqua mosaic tiled bathroom is fun and uplifting.



There’s a tiled recessed sink, toilet, bathtub with a hand-held shower and shower head with a built-in tap thermostat plus built-in storage space.

Check-in / check-out



Our check-in time starts at 3 pm and ends at 11 pm and check-out is by 11 am. We will arrange a convenient time and place to give you the keys.



Online check-in before arrival



As per the current vacation rental decree (Spanish law), we kindly ask all guests over the age of 18 to submit their IDs before arrival. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.



Towels, linen and professional cleaning



We take pride in ensuring that the apartment is professionally cleaned to the highest standard before your arrival.



We provide high-quality white bed linen and towels, and we kindly ask that you use them with care. Please refrain from using them to wipe up spills or dirt, or to remove makeup. In the event of stained linen or towels, we reserve the right to charge a fee to replace them.



We provide one bath towel, one hand towel, and one beach towel per guest, as well as one hand towel per bathroom. If you require a change of towels or bed linen during your stay of 7 days or more, please let us know, and we'll be happy to arrange this for you.



Mid-stay cleaning



If you would like mid-stay cleaning, we offer this service at €15 an hour (minimum 3 hours). Please send us a message if you would like us to arrange this for you.



Parking



Private parking is available inside the property for your convenience.



Families



We welcome families traveling with babies and children. There is a Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair and a baby bottle warmer available in the apartment. We can provide a travel cot with a bottom sheet, available for €25 per reservation. Please let us know if you require this, and we'll be happy to assist you.



The local area



Las Gaviotas is a rural coastal hideaway at the start of the Anaga mountains and just 15 minutes by car from the capital city, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.



If you want to explore some of the most black sand beaches in Tenerife, Playa de las Gaviotas is an excellent option to start from. You can expect soft black sand, friendly locals and crystal clear water with a dramatic mountain backdrop.



The apartment has direct access to Playa Chica, a sumptuously soft black sand beach. It is almost private and used mainly by the residents of the building due to restricted access. You can admire the outstanding architectural design of the building while taking a refreshing swim in the Atlantic ocean.



It is easy to lose track of time and spend your days relaxing in this little slice of paradise on the beach in Tenerife.



When you want to explore the island a little more, there are lots to discover nearby…



Head down to San Andrés for Playa de las Teresitas, the iconic white sand beach with its calm waters, SUP rentals and cool beach bars. San Andrés is known for its fish and seafood restaurants.



Continue past San Andrés to the island's capital and explore the bustling local market, colonial architecture, green parks, shopping centers, independent boutiques and a note-worthy restaurant scene.



If hiking and mountains are your preferred holiday activities, you’ll be just 4 kilometers from the Anaga mountains, which you can reach via Igueste de San Andrés.



Over the Anaga mountains to the northeast side of the island lies three magnificent beaches in Taganana – Playa de Benijo is our favorite and a must if you want to see rural Tenerife life and the most stunning beach on the island. Finish the day with a typical Canarian meal washed down with locally grown wine at one of Taganana’s traditional restaurants.
