Highly recommend this lovely, historic apartment on the river with vistas of the Roman arch and Abbey with streetside opening up to the main square of Lagrasse. The place was very clean and well appointed and was perfect for my wife and me. The apartment stayed cool even on hot summer days. Nicole was lovely as well, very responsive to any questions we had and offered very helpful recommendations. We could not have asked for a better stay and hope to be back!

Excellent location

Nicole has created a charming, comfortable apartment with all you could need in a beautiful and interesting village. The written information provided by Nicole was excellent and appreciated. We had a superb stay and travelled all over the area - coming back to the apartment was a joy.

Einfach wunderbar!

Wir haben die Woche in Nicoles Apartment in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, der Blick auf den Orbieu und die alte Brücke unbezahlbar. Nicole ist außerdem eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns fest vorgenommen, im nächsten Jahr nach Lagrasse und zu Nicole zurückzukehren. Vielen Dank!

Totally enjoyed

Great location in an area full of historical sites and interesting scenery. Loved breakfast on the small terrace by the river and walking into town for croissants, for groceries and dinners.

Appartement de caractère dans une maison ancienne au coeur de Lagrasse

Splendide appartement au rez-de-chaussée d’une maison ancienne très bien rehabilitée, située au coeur de Lagrasse, à deux pas des anciennes halles. Depuis le petit balcon/terrasse, vue très agréable sur la rivière l’Orbieu et sur le Pont Vieux. Accès par une cour intérieure très agréable et assez fraîche, avec sol en calade et grandes plantes en pot. L’appartement est resté frais malgré la canicule du mois d’aout 2022 (en fermant volets, portes et fenêtres durant les heures chaudes). Chambre et salon très soigneusement décorés, avec beaucoup de style. Cuisine et salle de bain relativement petites et sans lumière extérieure mais fonctionnelles. Une excellente expérience en résumé.

Le bonheur de jours heureux tout simplement

Gîte douillet, cosy et calme dans un cadre médiéval et naturel parfait pour un couple en quiétude de repos et de sérénité. Nicole, notre hôte est disponible, charmante et passionnée, et aime faire partager avec plaisir les atouts de son village et de sa région . Ce fut un séjour exceptionnel. Le logement est confortable, douillet et superbement aménagé. Il est idéalement placé, avec une vue imprenable et à l'abri des mouvements du village. Les relations avec les propriétaires sont aisées et très agréables. a renouveler.

Un délicieux séjour

Nous avons séjourné deux semaines dans l’appartement de Nicole. Il est très agréable, bien équipé et superbement décoré. Idéal pour un couple, il est situé au calme, tout en étant à quelques pas de la rivière pour se baigner, des commerces et restaurants de Lagrassse, et de superbes sentiers de randonnée. Nicole a été charmante, elle nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse, et nous a donné de bons conseils tout au long de notre séjour. Nous recommandons donc chaleureusement ce gîte vraiment charmant.

Je suis vraiment heureuse de recevoir cette critique. Je répondrai en français bien que, comme vous le savez, mon français écrit n'est pas génial ..... Je dois dire que j'etais ravis de vous acquérir ici - jamais auparavant je n'avais été aussi bien approvisionné, chaque jour, avec les délicieuses figues que vous avez cueillies lors de vos randonnées dans la région et généreusement partagées avec moi! J'espère vraiment que vous serez de retour avant trop longtemps. L'automne, par exemple, est une autre belle période pour découvrir la région. Vous ne trouverez peut-être pas de figues, mais le paysage est magnifique dans son manteau automnal. Et le printemps aussi bien sûr avec tous ses parfums floraux. C'est une des joies d’accueillir des invités dans mon gîte - le grand plaisir de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes (comme vous) que je n’aurais pas eu l’occasion heureuse de rencontrer! Beautiful apartment in a beautiful village

This apartment is well equipped and beautifully furnished, overlooking the river and views over to,the hills. Lovely for walking and sampling local vineyard produce.

Perfect apartment in Perfect location!

What more can I say? Myself and my partner booked this apartment for a few days of relaxation and it was just perfect. The apartment has everything you could need and is beautifully laid out. The balcony is perfect for sitting in the sun and reading a book, and watching the birds fish in the river. The river below is perfect for an afternoon swim, and the next village down the road has a bigger deeper swimming spot which I highly recommend. We will most certainly be coming back, we could not have asked for a more perfect spot.

There is in fact a book called 'Wild Swimming France' which mentions a few of the special spots that are not so far from Lagrasse for natural river swimming. Your property is absolutely beautiful!

Your property is absolutely beautiful and the view- stunning!! Sitting outside on the terrace with a glass of red and a book, overlooking the river and all its magnificent surroundings- pure bliss! Beautiful apartment in a picture postcard village

We stopped in the one bedroomed 'Ramparts and Riverside' apartment for a week in July. The apartment had looked lovely on the website and even exceeded our expectations when we saw it in person. It was decorated and furnished beautifully throughout and was a very special place to stay. We loved having breakfast (fantastic pastries available from the nearby boulangerie) and many of our evening meals sat out on the little terrace, our only company being the swallows flying over head and the sounds of frogs in the river we overlooked. Lagrasse is a picture postcard French village, old stone houses and cobbled streets, set by a river dominated by an abbey, with medieval bridges crossing it. It was nice to just step out of the house in the evening and go for a meal in one of the excellent nearby restaurants or just buy an ice cream and take a stroll along the river. You could easily spend all your time just relaxing in the village or, like us, you could explore some of the many nearby interesting towns and tourist sights (far too many to fit into the week we had there). If you have a car with you there is plentiful free parking in a car park a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. If you are looking to holiday in a lovely area of France and want to stop in a beautiful apartment, then look no further and book this one.

A gem

We loved our stay unfortunately cut short. Full Latin Mass a la Vatican 1 in the monastery is a marvelous experience. Restaurants were not super but passable. House wine quite delicious at La cocotte Felèe though. If you are arriving late access can be tricky. We would love to return although not in high season - I suspect Lagrasse is a bit of a honey pot and the thought of lots of tourists on "our" bridge too much to bear.
