Beach Getaway

The property was lovely and a very short walk from the beach, park and bellmont. Its a great place to visit with your family. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had all the tools we needed. The property managers were very nice and accommodating to us, and were quick to answer our calls.

Great house

This cute, rustic property is very close to the boardwalk and beach. It’s a bit loud in the evening but that’s to be expected. Super close to coffee shops, restaurants and The bay. We’d definitely stay here again!

Getaway

Unit was clean and good communication with management. In fact there was an issue with the internet and she was on top of it. Beach and lagoon as well as boardwalk was a stone throw away.

Great location - lots of space!

My family loved the property because of the overall space: 3 large bedrooms (2 with lounge chairs), 2 bathrooms (1 with a tub), large living room, dining area with glass table and 6 chairs, nice complete kitchen and best of all a nice balcony with table and chairs. There were lots of towels, beach and bath, bedding, and lots of beach "toys" (some were a bit old and rusty, but functional. There was a brand new BBQ. Our concern is the photos on the site of this place looked like it had an upstairs and downstairs with a balcony and large yard, but it was only upstairs with a balcony. The managers were very accommodating when we had to change our dates - twice! . The final email we got was titled , Your Key, so we thought a code, but no. When we called about it they abruptly said, the info was in the contract, which we did not carry with us, they finally told us to come to the office to get it. Once there they were very nice again. Overall a great experience with just a couple of glitches (photos and getting key).

Thank you, Nancy, for your review. Glad you finally got to take your family vacation and had an enjoyable time. Regarding your confusion over the space. In the VRBO description it clearly states this unit is a "second floor duplex condo". That would indicate there is also a first floor unit in this duplex. The lower floor unit has access to the ground level patio and second floor unit has a balcony. These are private and not shared with the other unit. Thanks again.

Family Vacation

Location was good. A little tight if you drive a truck and entry way/walkway not necessarily stroller/wagon friendly. The unit overall was clean but the couch was dirty, counters were not clean by the sink, and the fans provided for air flow were not clean. If you have small children or heavy feet keep in mind you are in an upper unit and the floors are loud.my five year old cannot sit still and the below tenants said they could hear here all the time. Duplex is stocked but we brought our own disposable plates and silverware. Furniture is definitely used and dated but the amount of time we spent there it was fine. The re talks behind us played music so loud it kept my daughter up but it was a different agency that managed them so there was not much you could do. High traffic noise as well. We had to leave early due to a family emergency so didn’t get to enjoy our whole stay.

Definitely needs updated photos of listing

Pros: Great location to beach, Belmont park Cons: Pullout couch, throw pillows definitely needed a cleaning. *Items listed for use: surf boards were falling apart, 3 of the4 boogie boards were broken. 2 bikes were so rusted, chains etc. Canopy was broken The place these items were stores in does not look like the picture. It’s dirty and items are obviously not checked between guests. *We did take photos of everything, which I recommend if you decide to stay. Now we did call about broken canopy and broken boogie boards. We were told they are listed “you can use” but weren’t apart of the listing. We responded with they are listed in the post and that is a selling point. **They did provide another canopy and boogie boards. *They list as another selling point, washer and dryer available. Know that this is shared, it may or may not be available. *The main photo of the property is misleading. You access the property from the rear. You never have access to the photo featured. *The bedding including sheets, comforters should be replaced. They have very strict rules on cleaning unit before you leave or there will be an additional charge. (You are charged over 200 for cleaning fee in the beginning) Overall, again great location. For what is charged and advertised. I would not return.

Thanksgiving Stay

Despite having a couple of cosmetic issues and being a little small for the amount of people in our party we absolutely loved the place. The location couldn't have been better!! Within walking distance of the beach, Belmont park, lot's of food options, shopping, and Sea World. Checking in and out was super easy and the neighborhood was wonderful.

Good value for the money. We stayed there for 6 weeks and like the location and convenience of nearby amenities, beach, bay, food. The decor is a bit outdated, but other than that, very happy with the amenities. The management company and owners were very responsive and accommodating.

Would NOT recommend worst place ever

The worst place I have ever stayed. When we first arrived the woman who gave us our keys was not very friendly. Told us to keep the noise level down, NO loud TV, music and to keep the kids quiet. Really? All there was, was noise. Especially at night. We could not leave the windows open as the radios were so loud. Even with the windows shut you could still hear the blaring music. On the last night there were to different houses having what seemed to be a contest of who could be louder. NO one got any sleep. For a house that could sleep 10 ppl, there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper. Had to go buy our own. The dishes were dirty, had to be washed before we used them. The floors were dirty as well. The furniture was horrible. The couches completely sunk in. I mean sunk! The master bedroom, the bed was as if we were sleeping on the concrete floor. The other bed, sunk in the middle, and the last bed was not any better. They have high standards are how they want things cleaned? Oh ok. The house smelled very musty, had to open all the windows. The coffee pot had mold in it. The chair at the kitchen table, the springs were sticking out. The patio was filthy and had to be cleaned once we arrived. One of the outlets came out when we tried to pull our charger out. Someone threw out a chair and it constantly was being moved in different locations of our walkway. No-one was happy with the place. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Too much money for what you don't get. Get some new furniture!!!

Hello Mattew, Appreciate your review. I wish you would have voiced your concerns during your stay. The City of San Diego has a noise curfew and we enforce to the best of our ability. If you would have called us we could have called the proper authorities to come remedy the situation and enforce the ordinance, we would have as well called the management companies that are responsible for taking care of the units next to where you were staying. There are rules for a reason. Additional paper materials are your responsibility after the 4 rolls we have provided as stated in the contract you signed. As for the couch, it was new as of 2 years ago. Since you have stayed we have replaced the TV with a 60" one and put in new tile , vanity and light fixture in the back bathroom. Please see updated pictures. One of the beds is literally brand new as of 2 days before you arrived and has new bedding and linen. Coffee pot was cleaned as we have pictures from the guests before you. The patio was cleaned the same day you moved in, leaves could have dropped from the tree during your stay. The musty smell you are referring to is the original hardwood floors and the cedar walls in the living room. Have not found the broken outlet you are referring to. Wish you could have brought your concerns to our attention. We would have remedied them as we are available 24/7.
