Spacious apartment, helpful owners
I stayed in this apartment twice during May, 2013, while working in the area. It is comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped, with a lovely garden outside for the use of guests (including a table, so you can eat outside). It was extremely clean and all appliances worked very well. The owners were very friendly and accommodating about arrival and departure times. They live upstairs, so it was easy to ask questions if I needed to, but they were also very respectful of my privacy. The apartment is not in the centre of Florence, but it's connected to the centre by several buses (taxis into the centre cost about 10-12 euros), and the shopping nearby is very good - there are also some good cafes and a particularly good gelato place right down the street. It's on a busy road, but it is quiet at night, and the neighbourhood is very safe and secure. It's also close to the hills outside Florence, for those who like to walk in the countryside. I will certainly stay here again, and would recommend it to single people, couples, or small families looking to visit Florence without staying in the hot, overcrowded, noisy centre.
