Geräumiges, luxuriöses Apartment mit Gartenblick

The guest arrived more than 3 hours after their estimated arrival time and didn’t bother to communicate this to us. We tried texting and calling them with no luck, so we left the property. The guest eventually called to say they’d arrived and we returned within 25 minutes to exchange keys. We also reimbursed their cab’s fee for the waiting time. We felt the guest was very rude and disrespectful. This is our personal home not a hotel with a 24-hour front desk. We went out of our way to make this right.

It's a real shame that this guest felt the need to leave a retaliatory review. I had to have the bathroom sink repaired as it was broken during their stay. Thanks to a great relationship with our contractor, the cost was tiny. When I checked in with the guest the day after they arrived, they said everything was great. To clarify some of the guest's comments: the apartment is on the 2nd floor (3rd in the US), and there's a landing between each one, so technically yes there are four sets of stairs, but that makes it sounds worse than it is. The apartment is my personal home, so yes there are plenty of my belongings in it. It feels a lot more homely which is why so many people rebook. Four drawers and a full wardrobe are always left clear for guests to use. And yes, there is only A/C in the bedroom, as noticed in the description. Store and restaurants are 4 minutes away.
