Willkommen im Jones Cottage in der Kentucky Road. Die Betten werden bei Ihrer Ankunft bezogen. Im Jahr 1990 wurde die Residenz von einem Knoxville-Architekten "entkernt" und für zwangloses und lustiges Wohnen umgestaltet. Das Hotel liegt nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von The Barn, Lake Susan und The Huckleberry entfernt. Diese Residenz sollte aus vielen Gründen auf Ihrer "Shortlist" stehen, einschließlich der Schönheit des Baches in diesem Hinterhof! Das große Deck bietet Platz für 20 Mahlzeiten oder ist ein perfekter Ort für ein Nickerchen oder zum Kuscheln mit einem guten Buch. Wir lassen die Bilder für sich sprechen.

Wonderful!

We were in Montreat for a conference. The house is in a lovely setting backing the mountain creek and is very convenient to the conference center. It was very clean, very well maintained, and had top quality amenities. We’re planning to return!

charming cottage - great location

The cottage was cozy and charming. Through the screen doors, you can hear the creek, which we loved! This is an ideal location in Montreat—you can walk out the door and be at Lake Susan in three minutes. It was a wonderful weekend getaway.

Fantastic and Welcoming Home in Montreat

Bill and Margie's home in Montreat is not only comfortable and beautiful, but it is also a perfect place for a vacation for all ages. The home is in a serene and lovely area in Montreat close to Lake Susan and near enough to Black Mountain to enjoy restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed family time playing games, reading, and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Most of all we enjoyed taking in the beauty of the mountains. The house has a wonderful outdoor space as well. Bill and Margie were incredibly welcoming, and we were so appreciative of their hospitality. We highly recommend this lovely home and hosts.

Jones Cottage

My family has enjoyed Montreat annually for what will soon be three decades, and the Jones Cottage has become our place of choice. The location is convenient and delightful with the babbling brook behind the cottage. Its restful living room, the well-equipped kitchen, the spacious veranda and gazebo -- all make for a very pleasant visit that the whole family can enjoy together.

Lovely Home

We had a wonderful time staying here. Bill and Margie were very responsive to any questions we had. Their home is just as shown in the photos-- very clean, eclectic and tasteful decor, with wonderful outdoor spaces to enjoy. Anniversary Getaway in the Mountains

We were somewhat familiar with the property, having visited the area many times. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our anniversary trip. Relaxing, enjoyable week in Montreat

The Jones Cottage has been my family’s preferred lodging for at Montreat in the summer almost since it became available more than 15 years ago. The large veranda and the gazebo provide relaxing, outdoor space for conversations, games, and reading, and the indoors are nicely done, with a well stocked kitchen. The cottage is not a fancy, modern place, but it has all a family or group will want for good times together.

Peaceful Retreat!

My family and I stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday and it was the peaceful and serene getaway we were seeking. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, and all we could hear were the sounds from the creek in the back. The kitchen was well stocked and had just about everything we needed in the way of utensils and cookware. We enjoyed visiting Black Mountain and Asheville which were both a short drive, as well as walking around Montreat and hiking in the area. Bill was a wonderful host and clear communicator. Other reviewers have commented on the cleanliness and state of the house- we found it to be very clean! It's not in perfect condition, but it is a very old house and not a primary residence. We didn't mind it at all and found it to be a charming and lovely cottage! If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again!

Love and comfort fill this home.

What a great long weekend my husband and I had at Jones Cottage! All the amenities, but most importantly, a warm and inviting home. Well-stocked kitchen to cook up a fine meal to have with friends or just the two of us. We did both! The furnishings are eclectic with a lot of artwork, ceramics and wood features. The house is lovely. Sunny in the morning and cozy at night. The babbling creek behind the house encourages a good night sleep. The house was very clean, and has all the amenities. A neat neighborhood of old family houses and vacation homes with lots of privacy. We would come back! Asheville about 20 minutes and Black mountain just a 10 minute drive. Our hosts checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed, including a place to fish the following day. Thank you again!

Another great visit!

With much appreciation to our thoughtful hosts, we have loved another stay in your wonderful, charming, welcoming home. It's filled with a sense of happy times shared, inside and out, comfortable places to read, picnic and have fun together while Flat Creek rushes by. (A first rate kitchen matters too!) Location is another huge plus: easy walks to the best of Montreat, short drives to the Blue Ridge Parkway or Asheville. It has also, always, been a place of peace and rest for us. We are so grateful.
