Mold/Mildew issues!
I booked this unit for 9 nights during the Christmas/New Year high season so I paid the top price. I was traveling with my three grandchildren. Upon arrival, we found mold/mildew in the washer, dryer, window coverings, and air conditioning unit. In addition, there was a bag of someone's shoes and other items left on the table. I notified the property managers immediately and included pictures via text. There was a huge yuck factor! I suffer from asthma and so does one of my grandkids so this was a health issue for us. We had no way of knowing if this was a benign mildew or toxic black mold. I asked we be moved to another property ASAP.
I did get a prompt reply saying our problem would be passed along to management, and said there were no other properties available, and they would send someone to inspect the place but did not say when.
We spent one night because we were so tired from travel and were not up to finding another place to stay so late in the evening on the busiest tourist week of the year.
I tried to contact the management company the next morning. When I didn’t get a prompt reply I informed them we decided to not take a potential health risk and moved out.
A refund was denied because we left before waiting for an inspection. At the very least this unit was not properly cleaned and the "mildew" (if that is what is was) was gross, especially around the windows in two of the bedrooms.
