Neu errichtete "Suite", die an ein bezauberndes Häuschen am Meer angeschlossen ist. Diese reizvolle Ergänzung umfasst ein großes Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett, Kathedralendecke und Tannenboden. Wenn Sie den kleinen, mit Kiefernholz getäfelten Flur hinuntergehen, finden Sie ein brandneues Badezimmer mit übergroßer Dusche und wunderschöner Kiefernholzverkleidung. Es gibt eine Speisekammer mit einem kleinen Kühlschrank, einer Mikrowelle, einem Toaster und einer Keurig-Kaffeemaschine. Von außen betreten Sie die Suite durch eine Atriumtür von einem 8 'x 16' Zederdeck aus, das auf den spektakulären Blick blickt, den der Mussel Ridge Channel, der Pleasant Beach und zahlreiche Inseln bieten. Dieser Ort ist optisch atemberaubend. Setzen Sie sich auf das Deck und beobachten Sie die Hummerboote, bunten Bojen und Vögel. Für diejenigen, die Kajak fahren möchten, können Sie Ihr Kajak von unserem Vorgarten aus starten, der an Pleasant Beach in einer geschützten Bucht von Penobscot Bay anliegt. Wandern und Klettern entlang der Küste sind beliebte Freizeitbeschäftigungen für diejenigen, die diese Gegend besuchen. Wir befinden uns in der Nähe der Mündung des Flusses Weskeag, der bei Kajakfahrern und Fischern gleichermaßen beliebt ist. Diese Unterkunft ist günstig gelegen, nur 30 Autominuten von Rockland, Rockport, Camden und Port Clyde entfernt. Zu den nahe gelegenen Attraktionen zählen das Farnsworth Art Museum, das Owls Head Transportation Museum, mehrere Leuchttürme und eine Vielzahl von Geschäften, Restaurants und Kunstgalerien. Where do I begin?! I feel I truly lucked out finding this gem…perfect spot for a relaxing stay while visiting family in the area. Everything from initial booking, communication, thoughtful design/set up/amenities of the cottage, the surroundings, view and hosts were amazing. Highlight of my entire Maine visit was kayaking up the river 1.5-2 hrs each day! Will def be back!!

A beautiful spot towards the end of a dead end road. Great views! And very quiet. Great location for exploring the area, but we didn’t go far from the Adirondack chairs steps from the water.

The location of this cozy cottage is any beach lovers delight! The cottage was extremely clean and the hosts were extremely generous with what they provided. Aside from being very kind people, they were very concerned about our comfort and experience. I highly recommend this beautiful place when in the Rockland area. It’s far enough away from a busy summer town filled with people but close enough to go there whenever you want. I know that when I go back to Maine, I will stay there again!!

This is a lovely cottage in a very beautiful setting. Absolutely breathtaking in any kind of weather. I had fog,clouds mist & rain but loved all of it! It is also well-situated for day trips to Rockland,Camdem, and the surrounding area. The property is perfect for 1 or 2 people, with a large deck and expansive lawn with Adirondack chairs to relax by the water. Marc is a kind and helpful host! I will certainly be returning.

A Maine Dream

I loved this little cottage and it was exceptionally clean, right on the water with a beautiful view of islands and the ocean. Would love to go back and stay longer. No kitchen but there is a refrigerator, toaster, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom was also very clean and had nice hot water. There was plenty of heat in the cottage. Owner was very friendly and nice. He gave me keys but I felt so safe I never locked the door when I was out.

Great Cottage

The cottage was nicely represented by the pictures. It was very convenient and easy to get to all the areas we wanted to go. Marc the owner met us when we got there and recommended a couple of restaurants that were open on Sundays and close by. The cottage was a perfect size for 2 with a nice size bathroom. Even though it was foggy our first couple of days the view was beautiful across the water when the fog lifted.

Nice quiet location

We liked the layout of the suite! The bedroom was facing the ocean and the main door had a sliding screen so we were able to enjoy the view. The hallway was equipped with a Kerrig coffeemaker with pods. The mini refrigerator and microwave came in handy for breakfast items and drinks. The bathroom and shower were nice with amenities. Perfect for one or two adults.We definitely will return!

Beautiful and Peaceful

We arrived late and Marc was wonderful to offer dinner suggestions for us in town that night. Marc and his wife Sue were friendly and very helpful with the questions we asked. Even though we were on the same property as them, we saw them as little or as much as we wanted. It was nice to have our privacy as well. We were busy when we were there and wished we could have had more time to visit with this sweet couple. There was an over supply of coffee and creamer, paper towels, toilet tissue, clean towels and trash bags. We stopped at the grocery store nearby to pick up simple breakfast foods and snacks for the day. I would definitely return here if we go back to Maine

The host was there to greet us at check-in and do a brief but thorough walk-through of the space. You absolutely cannot beat the hosts service and attention to detail. My wife and I looked forward to the warm shower at the end of a full day, and the sun rise overlooking the ocean when we woke up. We would stay here 10/10 times. Zero complaints and great recommendations from the host along the way.

Many reasons it’s a great location!

This cottage is a great location as a center hub to branch out daily to see all directions of mid coast Maine. It’s also a great location to return to after a long day of excursions and exploring, to a deck with a beautiful view. Or to hunker down and read while you wait out a rainy morning. And the sunrises are amazing too! The host is friendly and helpful, the room and amenities are just enough for a couple. We really appreciated having this cottage as our “home” this week.

Beautiful and peaceful

The room was clean and nicely provisioned; the neighborhood beautiful and very quiet. It was peaceful and felt secluded, though within 20 minutes of nearly every attraction in the area. The hosts were great - friendly and responsive. We were delayed on our travels and arrived very late, but Marc was understanding and left the lights on for us, and we checked in with him the next day. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect July 4th Getaway

The tranquil coastal location is the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. The suite has everything needed for a comfortable stay plus an amazing view. Plenty of sightseeing and outdoor activities in the area or just chill by the water in the adirondack chairs. We enjoyed chatting with our wonderful hosts about the area's history and Marc's restaurant reservations were great.

We have spent summers in Maine for more than 20 years, and purchased this cottage in 2002 with an eye towards retiring here during the summer months. We have been doing renovations to this alluring little cottage since we took ownership. Our renovations are nearly complete and recently included the addition of a separate living suite in the attached wing. This wing affords us the benefit of using the cottage while ensuring privacy for ourselves and our guests. We are still in the process of repurposing a small building (which was moved from a nearby strawberry farm) for our use as a woodworking shop.

Our cottage is nestled among a small community of cottages, most of which have been in the same family for generations. There is history here along with spectacular coastal views. It’s an ideal spot to read, kayak, or simply watch the sailboats and lobster boats.

We are fortunate in that our property includes a large, flat open lot directly in front of our cottage. It abuts the beach and is south facing making it a wonderful place to enjoy the sun and the bay/beach. It is uniquely convenient for those wishing to launch and store their kayaks.
