Puntarenas: Ferienunterkünfte in Strandnähe

Wir hatten ständig das Gefühl in einer anderen Welt zu sein. Die Umgebung, das Haus, der Pool, einfach traumhaft.Früh morgens wird man von den Tieren geweckt. I have rented more than 10 homes across Costa Rica and with Lattice House I have definitely found my absolute favourite! The house is located in an extremely large private property with a gate down at the main road from where it takes you about 2 minutes to drive all the way up to the house on the private road. In those 2 minutes you drive past the property‘s orchard and lush gardens. Be aware that if you rent Lattice House you don‘t just get a house but you get your own private nature sanctuary that will take you many days to explore! The value for money is simply unbelievable! You can tell this home was built to live in it and not to make profit from it as a rental home. Especially the kitchen is so well equipped that I as a passionate cook found everything that I usually miss in rental homes. The owner is very lovely and the local host is super communicative and friendly. Next to the entrance there is an instruction manual that explains everything. It is written in such an awesome way and with a great portion of humour that I read it three times!On the pictures the pool looks a bit shallow, but I am 175cm tall and the water covered my chin at the deepest point and it was just perfect. And you can enjoy that while having probably the best view on the whale tail beach of Uvita in the area.Even if you are a big group of people there are so many areas where you can enjoy your privacy on really comfortable furniture when you would like to spend some time alone.

Very nice house. Clean, well equipped and a wonderful view! Only the way to get there should be considered. It is not very difficult, but it takes some time to get up or downhill to go shopping or out for dinner. But it is definetely worth it! But it is definetely wortth it!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, alles ist wie abgebildet und beschrieben. Man kann unheimlich viele Tiere beobachten in der Gegend auch ohne in den Nationalpark zu gehen. Sollten wir nochmals in die Gegend kommen, werden wir hier wieder mieten. Eine kleine Anmerkung, dies soll keine Kritik sein. Eine Waschmaschine habe ich nicht gesehen, habe aber auch nicht danach gefragt, weil ich es nicht brauchte. Zum Thema Essen Wir hatten keinen Koch bestellt, weil wir flexibel bleiben wollten. Wenn man selbst kochen möchte, sollte man wissen, das man alles mitbringen muss. Es sind keinerlei Gewürze, Zucker, Öl oder ähnliches vorhanden. Bei unserem Besuch war die nächste Essensmöglichkeit in Puerto Jiménez, Martina‘s war geschlossen. War wohl noch nicht Saison. Die Straße zum Haus ist wirklich schlecht, also auf genügend Bodenfreiheit achten, das ist denke ich wichtiger als 4x4. Zum schwimmen sind die Strände nicht geeignet, vielleicht zu einer anderen Jahreszeit. Wir waren an einem Tag in Drake Bay, dort ist schwimmen problemlos möglich.

We have enjoyed our stay at „Casa Amarilla“ very much. The house, the location ( Playa Bandera) and Mariette’s support during our stay were amazing. We did some surf lessons next by and loved it to jump every morning and evening with our boards in the Pacific right in front of the house. A perfect place to enjoy the beach, the pool and to plan activities or day trips e.g. NP Manuel Antonio not far away. The area is quite and peaceful and the house is fully equipped for a perfect self catering holiday. We hope that we will have the possibility to come back for some more relaxing days. The house is located on top of a hill at playa Hermosa. The view is amazing... every morning when I stepped outside it was just so breathtaking for me. Breakfast in front of the pool and ocean view couldn’t be better. Kelly and Chuck are nice and friendly hosts and we didn‘t miss anything during our stay. The house was very big for us two but we appreciated the two bed and badrooms. If I ever come back to Costa Rica I will definitely book Casa Verde or the smaller la Casita again :)!
