Es ist Platz für 14 Gäste. Das Haupthaus verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder. Safe in jedem Zimmer. Wohnzimmer hat ausziehbare Couch für 2 Personen. Das Gästehaus verfügt über Kingsize- und Queensize-Betten mit Vollbad. Unsere Waschküche verfügt über eine brandneue Waschmaschine und Trockner. 2 weitere Vollbäder am Pool mit einem großen Gasgrill, der bis zu 32 Fleischstücke mit Dunstabzugshaube zubereiten kann, machen dies zum perfekten Zufluchtsort für Sie. Wenn die Lichter ausgehen, ist das kein Problem. Brandneuer Generator von Generac zu Ihren Diensten. Sie müssen kein Eis kaufen !! Neue Eismaschine auf dem Gelände. Touren und Fahrer zur Verfügung, die Sie über das ganze Land von Costa Rica bringen können.

The house was as good for us. There was 12 family members. It was 35 minutes off the main road down a very bumpy road to get to the house. It was isolated but very relaxing. The pool was great with the hot weather. The outdoor kitchen was used every day. The house keeper, Alex, always went above and beyond and got us whatever we needed. Alex and his wife cooked us some traditional dishes. The house is showing its age. It could use a little fixing up.

This was a amazing trip, don't get me wrong. The property is a little run down and there was zero comfortable seating to just relax and visit. Alex was AMAZING and very accommodating. The properties location would be perfect except it is down a very very long very very rough road. It doesn't matter where or what you are wanting to do it's at least a hour drive. If you plan on doing your own cooking it is not a user friendly facility, we decided to have Alex cook because that is what we do for a living and it was nice not having to but we did make a lunch and it's just not equipt. Pack your big spray and shake the bedding out the ants are everywhere. The pool was very relaxing and clean.

I love the house. The beds are super comfortable. House was equipped with everything you need. Pool always warm. AC available 24/7. Loved that we had a chef on site and transportation was available. Alex was great. I was able to communicate with Rolando.Great service

Family vacation

The property and location was everything that was described. Alex, the property manager was a gem he made sure everything was as stated, and also was an excellent chef and prepared dinner for us many of our nights. We would definitely go back on another visit. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful location off of the beaten path this is your perfect getaway.

Beautiful house on the beach

My family really enjoyed the stay! The best part was that there was enough space for everyone and we had the beach all to ourselves!! Alex was always very helpful in directing us to tours and activities. He even owns a restaurant a few houses down with very delicious food. The privacy on the property is unmatched because it is away from the city and we absolutely loved that!

Our group had a great time in Punta Arenas home. Home is a retreat away from city life with comfortable beds, great waterfront views and poolside entertainment. Alex made you feel at home and is quite a comedian! He helped our group plan the week activities, transportation along with preparing delicious meals.

Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place.

Nice place and house

The house is very nice situated on the beach, everyday beutiful sunsets. Spent wonderful moments with family and friends at the pool, on the beach and surrounding caves. Alex is a nice friendly guy, always willing to help. Rolando, the owner is a nice guy, good comunication and accomodate us without any issues. The space downstairs and the kitchen was very nice, nice breeze and the yard is so relaxing. Thank you for letting stay at your place Rolando, and allowing us to build some nice memories.

Fun and friendly place.

The property has a great outdoor area with a full kitchen by the pool area. We spent most of our time there. Alex was SO helpful in everything we asked for or any questions that we had. The place is a bit remote. An hour to Jaco and 40 miles to the nearest descent grocery store. There was a great restaurant at the end of the road. Alex also cooked us a meal at his house. All in all, a great experience.

Holiday getaway

Our family just spent 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years at Bajamar rental. It was clean, beds super comfy and just a fun place to be at. Rolando was easy to work with and responded quickly to our questions. Caretaker and our cook Alex was “over the moon” fantastic as well as our driver Marco. The experience would not have been the same without them. It is remote but it’s exactly what we wanted!

Alex is Amazing

This house was a good place to stay mainly because of the caretaker Alex. The property itself is well maintained but it’s older. Nothing fancy but was a good place for our family. What puts this property over the top is Alex. He is a talented chef and great at recommending and scheduling all your transportation and activities. He is the ultimate travel agent. Marcos the driver is also awesome! My only real complaint is that is off the beaten path. If you stay here schedule all activities through Alex because he knows the best places that are close and have the best experience for your money

Super great place to stay, right on the beach. Alex is the best!!!

The property was just like the listing. Very clean. Everything you needed for a great time, especially the ground floor open kitchen and leaving area. Communications with the owner prior to our stay was very quick. I'd give his property manager, Alex, 50 stars if I could. Alex was outstanding. Alex went fishing with us, he brought over a wonderful fish dinner one night and has a restaurant a few houses down that serves authentic Tica food. Only negative which owner can't do anything about is the roads going in are pretty rough. But my experience with Costa Rica (this was our 4th trip) indicates this isn't uncommon.

Great stay!

The property was very close to as advertised but the description needs to be updated to be fully accurate. Yes, we were beachfront but tide chance of getting in the water. Very rough tide and beach littered with debris which we found to be very sad. Also, there was no hot water for the first two days which was surprising to us all. We ended up renting another house until it was fixed. Alex did cook us a couple great meals and that was a highlight. He was always popping in and out of the house. For some, you may not be used to this in a VRBO especially if you’re wanting more privacy in your stay. I say, just advertise this and maybe ask the renters how they want this to work. Overall, a solid place to stay “Off the Grid!” Met some great locals at a nearby bar which led to some memorable nights!

Alex manages the property for us and, according to him, the water heater to the upstairs bedrooms wasn’t functioning the first day but he fixed it the next day/ placed a new heater. The downstairs 2 bathrooms had hot water for your entire stay. Alex only visits the property if there are problems and we value our customers privacy- if one requests he not be available then he won’t visit . Tides are unpredictable, especially with storms in the rainy season. Thanks again for visiting our property and we hope to see you again .

Perfect Family Vacation

This house was perfect, we had 2 families (11 people with kids aged 3-19) and everyone had a great time. We were a laid-back crew looking for a place to relax and get an authentic experience and this fit the bill. Communication was great with Rolando from booking all the way up to our trip. Alex, the house manager was awesome and cooked us dinner on my husband’s birthday. Marco picked us up from the airport and drove us to all of our excursions and was an excellent guide! He is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Costa Rica and is committed to making sure you get and see everything you’re hoping for. We cooked most of our meals at the house and enjoyed walking on the beautiful black sand beach (which we basically had to ourselves Monday-Friday), swimming in the pool, watching the crabs on the northern rocks, and stopping for a drink at Donde Vin on the way home. This house is somewhat rural so it’s a jaunt to the grocery store, but we were prepared for that and didn’t mind. Loved this place! Pura Vida!

Great remote location

The house was as advertised, REMOTE. 4 bedrooms (1 w/ private bath) and 1 commonal bath) in main house along with kitchen and living room. 2 guests houses (each w/ 2 beds and private bath). 2 additional half bathrooms in outdoor kitchen area. Alex was very attentive, kind and funny. He tended the house and cooked for all of us. Great to have considering how remote the house is. Marco the driver, drove us to excursions (helped w/ planning and booking). He also served as a tour guide for those that didn’t attend adventurous excursions. I highly recommend hitting up Walmart before heading to the house from the airport. More local markets are limited on variety of products. We were a party of 11 and had plenty of space in the house. Be sure to have bug spray, they are pretty aggressive especially around dusk. I highly recommend this property if you want to get away and relax.

Fabulous Vacation

I am not sure where to begin. The house is in a quiet and remote, but beautiful location with a private beach as advertised. The roads were a little rough getting to this house, but we have heard this is common in Costa Rica. (this was our first trip to Costa Rica) Although the current is to strong for swimming, we were able to take longs walks each morning and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery. Our group of 14 people were very comfortable in this house, there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Additionally, Alex and Marco are amazing people, they both quickly won the hearts of everyone in our group! Alex ensured our stay was perfect. He helped us make arrangements for an ATV mountain ride and for a wonderful trip to to Tortuga Island. Alex also cooked several incredible meals for our group. He was always looking out for us to ensure our stay was perfect. Marco transported us to and from the airport and all of our tours. He went above and beyond with our group! He was always ready with a cooler of beer and water. Marco even gave us a personal tour to see the monkeys, sloths, and the crocodiles. When part of our group talked about finding a gift to bring home, he stopped by one of the best gift shops around. He could talk in length about any question we had for him regarding Costa Rica life and its environment. We always felt safe and secure when traveling with Marco. We had an amazing vacation full of rest and adventure. We hope to be able to return soon!

Pura Vida on the beach!

What a great find! This is a great beach house for a larger group. We had 11 and still had plenty of room. The house is in a quiet area. If you are looking for a crazy beach party experience, this isn't the beach for you. This beach is quiet and not populated. The surf in front of the house is a bit much for younger kids, it got pretty intense at times, but if you walk a short distance to the north, the waves are much calmer and the water is easier to swim in. Also take a walk to the south end of the beach and check out the "caves". You need to go at low tide. When you aren't on the beach, the pool is heated, which is amazing! We spent lots of hours just relaxing. Rolando was great to work with and quickly responded to any email communications that were sent. Alex is the caretaker and lives a few houses down. He also runs a small restaurant. Make arrangements to have Alex cook dinner for you at the house! It was a great experience and so nice to have some local flavor. He specializes in seafood and we had him cook up our fresh catch from a day of fishing. Also stop by his restaurant and have a cold cerveza. Alex was great in helping with transportation and excursions. We did not rent a car and we didn't feel like we needed one the whole week. Make sure that you stop and buy groceries on the way to the house. Rolando also recommended Jose for airport transportation and excursions. Jose helped arrange our pre-departure covid tests in Jaco and got us to San Jose with a great meal on the way. If you need a place to decompress, this house if the place for you. Pura Vida!

Exceptional service, great property.

*Wonderful property! Please bring drinking water if you prefer it and food with you, especially fruits and vegetables. There are no shops less than ~40min for more than VERY basic essentials.* We had a wonderful time. The owner was very responsive and also put us in contact with the property manager, Alex, who provided us with exceptional customer service. The bedrooms were all good size, the beds comfortable and clean, the air conditioning worked well, wardrobes for personal items. There were enough towels to have separate bath and pool towels for each person. Bathrooms were clean, and it was great to have two half bathrooms downstairs by the pool. Other than sleeping, we spent all our time in the outdoor living space by the pool. The kitchen is very well stocked, the appliances work great, there is a huge deep freezer stocked with ice. The couches and tables were all clean and comfortable. The shaded space during the day and when it rained was amazing. There are lots of ceiling fans to help create a nice breeze when there isn't one. The pool is large, clean and the perfect temperature. The kids loved it and spent most of their time swimming. The outdoor shower coming in from the beach has 3 heads. We had 11 people and there was more than enough room to lounge around comfortably. The beach itself is black sand. There are some beautiful cliffs and caves you can walk to down the beach. The water/undertow was too rough for swimming, but beautiful to look across and watch the sunset. The house manager, Alex, was wonderful. When our car broke down on the way, he was quick to find transportation for us. He and his wife are excellent cooks, and are available per request to cook at the house or you can walk a few properties down on the beach to their outdoor restaurant. BEST ceviche we've ever had. They also delivered to the house a meal we ordered from their restaurant. Excellent food! Activities: Alex was also helpful in setting up horseback riding on the beach, an amazing experience. The horses were brought right to the beach gate of the house, and the ride was beautiful. He also arranged a deep sea fishing charter, which was a little over an hour away by taxi. If you're looking for a quiet, out of the way place with comfortable accommodations, an attentive host and a beautiful pool - all beach front, this place is great!! Again - TAKE FOOD. Not many places to eat out and no local supermarkets. Thank you!!

Not as expected, dirty and run down.

We have been to Costa Rica twice before, so are familiar with rural areas and know what to expect. This house is not what we expected at all. The good: the home owner is very responsive, easy to work with, and willing to help in any way. The house accommodated our entire group of 9. The pool was refreshing. It was a quiet neighborhood on the weekdays. The driver, Marco, was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Alex, the caretaker, was nice, but not very attentive. After our stay the homeowner refunded us a portion of the rental due to its condition. The bad: the house has deteriorated thru the years from what is shown the pictures. It does not match what is shown. Outside pool furniture is not all there. The big circular pool couches are no longer there. The patio furniture is completely different and very worn down. Some furniture is broken. The kitchen supplies downstairs just sit out on the counter, and the knives barely cut butter. The downstairs fridge could barely keep up with the outside temp. We fought condensation the whole time, and had food spoil. Refrigerator leaked water all over the floor, making it very slippery and dangerous. The upstairs kitchen has absolutely nothing in it. No supply’s at all. Making it useless. The refrigerator upstairs was dirty and rusty. Most appliances were. There are no beach towels. The bath towels are stained, and there are no washcloths. Sheets had stains as well. There was no way to lock the house or the guest rooms while we were away. And one guest room door wouldn’t latch correctly. We had to put a table in front of it to keep it closed at night. There was black mold in one guest room shower. The upstairs house had cockroaches in it. Showers were a challenge due to lack of water pressure and wavering temperatures. We lost power a few times, and the generator was broken. No emergency lights of any kind. The house sits between 2 local camping co-ops. So, it gets loud on the weekends. It is very rural (which I knew) but didn’t expect to drive down so many dirt roads. We drove ourselves, and finding it was a challenge as it didn’t match the entrance pictures I was provided. Bring your groceries. Closest store is 40 minutes away. We had arranged for some basics to be provided, and they weren’t. So, after traveling for 20 hours, we had to go get food and water ourselves. No check in or out instructions were provided. Until the house is thoroughly cleaned, and updated, I wouldn’t recommend
