Tavant: Häuser

We found the Relais de Sonnay a perfect ‚base camp‘ for E-bike tours to the surrounding historical sites like the beautifully reconstructed Forteresse de Chinon, the chateaux of Azay-le-Rideau, Saumur, Montsoreau, d’Ussé or the Royal Abbey of Fontefraud. Farther sites like Chenonceau or Chambord can be done by car in a day. Frederic is a charming host and not short of any helpful hints and practical suggestions, e.g. on where to go to eat. After whatever undertakings during the day it feels good to come ‚home‘ to a well equipped, stylish retreat and end the day with a bottle of wine in the quiet garden. More than a nice place.
