Home is well maintained and the lake view is very nice. Host was super responsive! We had a storm and brief power outage, our sweet neighbor brought us a flashlight! Good folks associated to the property!

The draw for us was the wonderful lake view and accessibility to the lake. Kayaking, fishing, swimming, and the fire pit. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Contact with the host was easy and helpful. We would choose this rental again.

Peaceful getaway with a great view!

The house is ample for four adults. It is a very pleasant space with a very peaceful waterfront space. A handrail at the steps to get to the front door and the back deck would be beneficial to older folks staying at the house. But this is a pretty fabulous lakehouse!

Lake house perfect for family

This home was the perfect place for our family of five, and our golden doodle, to relax and unwind. We were looking for a space where we could gather with family and enjoy the outdoors. The kayaks were a fun option and we enjoyed the backyard and deck overlooking the lake. Each of the kids had their own space, the kitchen well stocked with all the cooking supplies one needs, and tvs were smart so we were able to sign in to easily sign into our subscription services and hook up our Nintendo switch easily. Our hosts were communicative and truly helped us have the most welcoming stay. We would stay here again when visiting the Newark Texas area.

Spring Break staycation

We stayed here for the beginning of our spring break, which also included my birthday. We had an amazing time. We caught a few fish, relaxed on the back porch, played lots of board games, and listened to the record player (great surprise). The weather was beautiful, even with the wind. We used the kayaks to paddle out and even found some big clam shells. The house has been renovated and fit our family of 5 perfectly. I would stay here again. My teenagers got a kick out of the free chickens. We will talk iut this trip for awhile. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property.

Great property. Had a great time. Be aware you are being watched by owner on camera. That led to a misunderstanding regarding pets. We had dinner guests for a short visit and they brought thier pet, not knowing the pet policy and fees. It almost cost us a pet fee. Owners waived fee after explanation. Thank you. If you don't have a pet and have a guest visit tell them do not bring their pet.

A true taste of lake life!

This place is a find! Our family had always wanted to stay at a place by the lake and this place looked beautiful online. It did not disappoint. It's a fantastic house with great energy and it's outfitted with everything you and your family or friends could ever want in a VRBO booking. There are kayaks if you want to get out on the lake, or if you just want to stay in, there are tons of board games and smart TV's. I really loved the details that they put in, like a french press for our coffee. Dewey was our main contact and his communication is spot-on. We couldn't ask for anything more. We are so glad we booked this place and you will be too!

Best 4th of July Ever

We stayed here for 4 nights for the 4th of July weekend. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The house is awesome with a split floor plan which is great for all the kids to have their own space. The dock is awesome with beautiful views and amazing sunsets from the top of the dock. We enjoyed watching fireworks go off all over the lake on the 4th. We all enjoyed swimming around the dock. It was easy to get in and out of the water with the dock ladder. All the kids got to catch catfish right off the back of the dock as well. My son really enjoyed paddling around the dock in the kayaks. He also enjoyed the retro Atari game system in the house. He had never seen an Atari before and spent several hours playing on it. The breeze off the lake in the afternoon was perfect to combat the Texas heat. We were able to relax comfortably on the back deck. We loved our stay at this beautiful property and we will definitely be back.

Don’t be fooled. It looks beautiful in pictures, but they don’t give you all the information. Behind the property the dock is basically unusable. There is a large amount of seaweed in the cove that have a rotten egg smell that is overwhelming. They say it is seasonal, but it’s a lie. We talked to a couple full time residents that live in the same cove and they said it never clears up and the smell is always there. We stayed there for a full week and it never cleared up. There is also a LARGE amount of garbage floating in the cove and around the house and on the boat ramp. You are basically surrounded by sewage. We couldn’t even fish off the dock because all you hook is seaweed or garbage. We couldn’t use the ramp to put our jetskis or kayak in because of all the seaweed and garbage. It smells so bad we were afraid to even get the water on our skin. Listing it as having a usable dock for fishing and sports is a lie! Beware, the lower level by the pool table and pool is extremely slippery. My kids slipped and fell multiple times just walking! You will need bug spray for early morning and evenings, but that’s just Florida. The living area was nice though. It was clean, large supply of towels, beach towels. Not a bad view from inside, but once you go out onto the top porch you are slapped in the face with the smell. They don’t say anything about the smell or seaweed in original listing. The only thing I’d suggest about the inside is a newer oven. Current one takes forever to heat
