We had an excellent stay at this cottage, enjoyed the hot tub while watching the sunset. The cottage is fully equipped with everything needed to cook meals, read a book, play games and enjoy the outdoors, lake and have a bonfire. The welcome basket was a special touch, included marshmallows, popcorn and more treats. Wish we had more time to spend there.

Exactly as described. Very thoughtful little gift basket waiting for us when we got there. The people who owned the cabin near by were super friendly and very kind folks. Use of the Kayaks were a huge benefit!

This cottage was a little piece of heaven for us. Remote but within an hour max to everywhere we wanted to go. The cottage is so quaint and comfortable- they have created a real home away from home feel. The kayaks were great ! The view of the water and watching the sunsets was beautiful. Perfect close to the city get away!

Wonderful property with amazing hosts! They were incredibly responsive and provided clear, detailed instructions for everything. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could need for a short or extended stay. We especially loved the two fire pits—one near the cabin and another by the pond. The boathouse was a bonus, stocked with camping chairs, kayaks, life vests, and more! Even the dirt road leading to the cabin was in good shape, if you’re not driving a truck or SUV. This place is now my top choice for future stays!

excellent property

This was an awesome choice for a three night stay in the area surrounding St. Johns. We were welcomed with little considerate touches which included a welcome note and some toiletries, which was not expected. It was super comfortable and super quiet...not a soul in sight, which was perfect for us. Chris replied to every message i sent and was a super host. thanks!!!

I couldn't have been happier with this rental. It is private, well maintained and absolutely stacked with amenities. The hosts are extremely kind and receptive to all questions. The location is in the middle of everything that we wanted to see and do. I would absolutely stay again and suggest a stay to anyone looking in the area.

The property was absolutely beautiful, from the time we arrived it felt like a home away from home.between Soaking in the hottub watching the sunset, kayaking around the pond and the quiet peaceful nights around the fire was nothing short of amazing. When you live a busy life you forget how therapeutic a place like this can be. We already can’t wait to come back.

Originally from the St. John's area, I moved to Ottawa after university. Moved back to Newfoundland with a wife and 2 kids in the middle of a pandemic. (Because, why not?!) Whenever we travel, we always like to rent houses instead of hotel rooms, and we've rented many times through VRBO, AirBnB and other whole-home vacation rental sites. Now that we own a property that we don't use 24/7/365, we are happy to offer it up to folks visiting Newfoundland (or just looking for a local getaway) that might be looking for the same things we do in a vacation rental.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

What we love most about our cabin is the distance from St. John's. At about an hour (give-or-take, depending on which part of the city you are driving from), it's just far enough to feel like a real getaway, but close enough to get there and back with ease. The spectacular scenery doesn't hurt, either!

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

For a small cabin (only 600 sq ft), it feel spacious. Probably because of the vaulted ceiling and open concept of the living room & kitchen. Can it host a large dinner party? No! But for a family of 4, or a small group of friends, there's a decent amount of space. And it's on an acre of land, with a nice sized lake, and lots of privacy.
