The location was perfect for access to Ascot Racecourse which was the reason for our stay. However the property needs TLC. An older building with cracks and rain damage was a poor first impression. The back yard was overgrown with weeds and the grass needed cutting. The standard of cleanliness was awful. Rubbish pushed down the sides of sofas and underneath. Dirty windows and cobwebs hanging outside. The outside rubbish bin smelt and was full of flies. The upstairs toilet had to be switched off at the wall between uses as it continually ran. Only 3 mugs were provided for a 6 person house, 1 still dirty. We had to purchase 4 during our stay. There were no tea towels in the kitchen so we had to use a small towel from upstairs. The bath towels were pocket size. There were no globes working on the stairs which was quite steep with no rail. Challenging for both elderly and small children. The upstairs bathroom and toilet did not have a lock on one door making it awkward for 6 users. The shower was over the spa which should be pointed out in the advertisement. As two 70 year olds, my wife with an impaired knee it was a challenge to access. We live in WA and feel ashamed that overseas tourists might see this as a normal standard of housing in WA. The property is overpriced in it’s current condition.
