Ensconced within the charming rural beauty of Rerewhakaaitu, our glamping cabin offers a tranquil retreat perfectly situated roughly halfway between Rotorua and Taupo.
An exquisite quiet getaway, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of rural Bay of Plenty. Wake to the delight of birds singing instead of city noise and totally immerse yourself in the beautiful, calm and tranquil farm surroundings.
Surrounding us are lovely lakes, inviting you to perhaps partake in the excitement of reeling in some of the vibrant trout that practically jump into your hands!
Or enjoy soaking in Kerosene Creek, then maybe time out at Waiotapu Tavern for dinner (awesome burgers!!).
Whether you opt to trek up Rainbow Mountain, wander around Lake Okaro, explore the wonders of Waimangu Thermal Valley, Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland, or unwind in the soothing warmth of nearby Waikite Hot Springs 20mins away, adventure, or relaxation, awaits right at our doorstep.
Our cozy 30sqm cabin boasts a kitchenette featuring a mini fridge, double electric hot plate, electric frypan, microwave, expresso machine, kettle and toaster.
Lots of safe parking, plenty of room for a boat!
For outdoor enthusiasts, we're an excellent hub for cycling and hiking escapades along the Te Ara Ahi Cycle Trail, Rainbow Mountain, Whirinaki Forest, and Rotorua's renowned Redwoods and fishing enthusiasts will find joy just moments away at Lake Rerewhakaaitu, with lots of yummy trout!

Such a lovely stay a beautiful nive and big very cleam room with views of the cows in the morning! Emma was friendly and helpful on check in. The room was very nice! My only regret was not being able to stay longer!

We had a wonderful experience. Emma was quick to respond, greeted us and made sure we have everything we needed. We had a very peaceful stay with our dogs. We had everything in the very spacious and clean cabin, located in the quiet and private place, incredibly tranquil, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind. Looking forward to staying there again

We stayed there for five days with our two dogs. The whole place is so wonderfully geared towards dogs. They had so much fun in Emma's private woods. The private grounds are also so large that they could both run around and play to their hearts' content. Perfect for dogs, but also a wonderful place to unwind for those who don't have pets.

We were very happy here.It was the most peaceful place we have stayed and had everything we needed to have a good rest. Particularly loved that it was NOT fragranced throughout and that it did NOT have TV or wifi. This was a bonus for us. We plan to come again and stay longer because this kind of restful retreat is rare to find.

A great little getaway

Loved this property as a base for lots of swimming in lakes, free thermal rivers, cycling and walks. The children loved the pool. Very quiet, great little village.

Great location

A great location away from the rat race to serve as a base for exploring the region, and a super comfy bed to come back to after a long day! Lovely hosts too, and the home grown tomatoes we were gifted on departure were delicious. Thank you!

Lovely, comfortable stay and excellent hosts

We truly enjoyed our stay. The place was comfortable and clean, a short distance from all the places we planned to visit. The accommodation was provided with everything we needed, simply delightful! The hosts were gracious and helpful to allow us to bring our two dogs with us, which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much!

Our stay

It was lovely and clean and comfy bed and lovely and accommodating host. It would've been a plus if there was a tv although not a major as you dont go away to watch tv... a sofa to sit at rather than on the bed would've been better too.

Beautiful location, awesome hosts

Stunning location with tonnes of privacy. Natural hot springs 15mins drive, 30mins from town centre - perfect spot with lots to do. Thank you to our host Emma - very approachable & easy to contact, able to provide lots of information about the area and must-see spots. Will be back again to explore more of the area 😁

Countryside Serenity

Lovely spacious space, comfortable bed with an electric blanket, private, beautiful views of the surrounding farmland, had everything you would need and Emma the host was so welcoming and friendly, we felt right at home especially with her delicious homemade bread, what a wonderful delight, we will be back.
