Great Family Stay

The house looks just like the photos. There was plenty of room for our family and a great location. The deck area was really beautiful with lots of seating and an outdoor TV. We will definitely be back!

Perfect family getaway house!

Our family had the best time during spring break. It was so peaceful and much needed quiet time away from our crazy everyday lives. The house was well stocked, had super cute decor, and the most amazing outdoor spaces to enjoy like the deck and river! 10000/10 will be back and can't wait until we do.

Fun Place

This place was very fun, the porch is amazing and has heaters and fans so can be used all year long. The scenery is great and perfect for some good walks! We didn’t really have hot water on the top floor, more of lukewarm water, but besides that everything was great!!

We did not encounter a host; we were given directions on how to access the property. We arrived late in the evening and was really nervous about finding it as there was heavy fog that evening. I have no complaints and would defiantly stay here again and already spoke with my family to plan a trip for the summer sometime. There were 8 of us and the dogs. It was really warm and welcoming as if we were staying at a friend's home. We absolutely loved the patio with swings overlooking the river and it was great to use the firepit to make smores and enjoy the night. Plenty of games and fun for whole family and opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

We absolutely loved our stay! We will definitely love to come back, and other family members were talking about renting themselves. My husband and I are first responders and it was such a relaxing spot with so much nature critters and animals. It was a beautiful change in scenery from our busy stressful life to relaxing on the riverside. The porch has so much to offer from games and TV, to so many different chairs and swings to choose from. The couches are amazingly comfortable, and the AC works so great. My family loved everything about the house.

Quiet relaxing retreat

The house is as it pictured in the photos. We loved the second floor outside area to relax and hang out. The lift really helped getting luggage and groceries up to the third floor. It was a little hard find in the dark. It was a wonderful weekend!

Everyone Was very impressed with the accommodations. The only issue I had was the hinges to the door leading into the master bedroom, lost some screws and there was a hole in the pmaster bedroom bathroom door, but other than that everything was fine.

As advertised

The only thing that was missing was pillows for the master bed? The house is really setup well for empty nesters or small families. Essentially its two bedrooms with sort of toddler room within the master. No complaints for a couple.

Stay in Cuero

The facilities were what we expected and everyone had a great time. The only complaint would be that there should be better directions to the house. And that once you are out of the house is that you loose Wi-Fi and it doesn’t come back until you are a couple miles from the house.

River Paradise

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay at the river retreat, the beds were comfy and the house was immaculate! My kiddos enjoyed the beautiful outdoor deck and we all ended our day sitting out and enjoying the beautiful river view. Our host was thoughtful and made sure that we had special Thanksgiving touches. This is the most well-stocked kitchen we've ever had using VRBO, they had good equipment and also kind additions like spices. We didn't necessarily need any of it, because we weren't there for very long. We highly recommend this rental if you are in the area and need a clean, comfy place to land! We loved our time there and will definitely stay again.

Unable to stay

Upon arrival we were dismayed by the appearance. There was animal feces on stairs and upper platform. Dust over all outdoor furniture that would require cleaning before you could sit down. Then inside was old, but the real problem was it was unclean. It needs an entire deep cleaning before it could even be cleaned on a regular basis. There is a hole in the master bath door. Feces in potty. Kitchen floor has dirty food on it. Spiderwebs inside and outside.

The homeowner would like to address some of your concerns to provide additional context:- Our listing mentions that guests might encounter wildlife and occasional spiders due to the home’s natural setting. Nonetheless, when you reached out about outdoor cleanliness, our cleaning crew arrived within 15 minutes to address it.- Although we offered immediate assistance, you declined the service. We’re confident our cleaning crew had thoroughly prepared the property days prior, but we’re committed to promptly addressing any concerns that may arise for future guests.- The patio furniture is regularly cleaned but may gather dust given its outdoor setting, something we aim to minimize as much as possible.- The hole in the main bathroom door is a minor cosmetic issue that we’re actively working to repair, and it does not impact privacy or functionality.Thank you again for sharing your experience, as we’re always looking to enhance the guest experience.
