Great Little Getaway

Me and my husband absolutely loved this cottage and the setting. Frye Island is such a cute place and we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back. It was a 15 minute walk to the ferry and store where we got picked up for a fishing charter. The beaches on the south and west side of the island were absolutely beautiful and I wish we could have spent more time there. 1.5 baths and plenty of space, very private setting at the cottage really help us enjoy our stay.

Perfect spot for a lake vacation

We enjoyed 4 nights here right before Labor Day. The property was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed! It was only three of us plus our dog, but this would be a great place for a bigger family or group of friends to stay. Our 3 yr old enjoyed the box of toys too! The location was perfect- we were able to walk to the beach and the general store very easily. The playground was an easy drive too. Communication and check in/out was very smooth and easy. We hope to be back again in future years!

Frye Vacation

We had a great week on Frye. Jared was super helpful, responding quickly and patiently to our questions. The house was just what we needed. The 2 downstairs bedrooms were great for the adults and our teenagers had plenty of room up in the loft. We had a nice week weather-wise so we spent most of our time out on the deck but there was plenty common space inside had the weather had not been as nice. While not on the water the house is centrally located on the island so it was quick and easy to get to beach 6 or 7, Frye's Leap Cafe, the community center or Leisure lounge at the golf course.

Overall, I enjoyed the wooded location, it was nice to have privacy among the trees. The kitchen was well appointed, and I liked the open concept living area. It seems that the dining room and living room furniture had been updated recently and we noticed that. The beds were fairly comfortable and we did appreciate the blackout shades. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, but I did find issue with the dust. There was a lot of it on the beams and behind furniture,etc. I attribute this to the fact that it is a dog friendly home so I assume that is why. I also had to dust off all the fans before we used them. I think the grill could use some love, because when we went to use the grill the first day there was a grease fire, so we ended up having to clean it out before using it. The A/C was great when it got really hot later in the week, but they were not installed properly and that was something we contacted the owner about. He was able to bring us some packing tape to seal the openings around the A/C's to keep out the bugs. Other than that, we had a fantastic time, and we love Frye Island, and have been coming to the island for over 5 years. It's an awesome place to be.
