Excellent property with lots of space and great views. Was our second time staying in this property and was well worth returning. Lots of amenities a short walk or drive away, although was unfortunate that the onsite cafe has closed. Overall a perfect week in Maui.

Exactly what we were looking for.

Great property. Clean and organized. We loved the large lanai with 180deg view of both the mountains and ocean. Saw whales breaching from the patio! And honua kai is a wonderful property and location for a maui vacation!

Wonderful Trip!

Beautiful unit! The host is so communicative and goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your trip. There was a carbon monoxide detector that was beeping when we first arrived. We called the office, and they had someone up to fix it within 20 minutes. The unit is well stocked and kept very clean. We will be back!

Fantastic property!

Everything was smooth from start to finish, and the view is even better in person! We stayed in the master suite with our 3.5 year old, and another couple stayed in the other room, and it was the perfect size. The amenities are amazing, gorgeous pool with multiple hot tubs, good food at the poolside restaurant and excellent poolside service. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful Property!!

This was perfect for our family of 4. The view is breathtaking and from where we were, we could see both the sunrise over the mountain and we also had an ocean view. The lanai is AMAZING. We had booked so many dinner reservations in advance and we actually regretted not having more free evenings to stay in and cook! The washer was not functional but the property owner provided laundry service for the duration of our stay. Convenient location to everywhere and we would definitely stay here again if we are able to make it back to this paradise!

Perfect Rental on the West Side

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this two bedroom two bath unit at Honua Kai. Our unit was amazing with tons of space for the four of us. Breakfast on the oversized lanai and then off to explore with all of the provided beach goodies. We were able to make dinner in the amply stocked kitchen and then off to sleep in super comfy beds. We would definitely stay here again and rent through Maui Resort Rentals. They were super helpful and accomodating!

Loved our stay!

Our stay was magical. The condo is exactly as described. The view from the patio of the mountains and ocean were amazing. All of the appliances were topnotch - we made breakfast dailyl and did a bunch of laundry. It would have been nice to have a resort charge at Duke's and the cafe/shops in the complex, but that was a minor detail. I absolutely plan to come back with my family hopefully sometime soon!

Great unit

First time in Maui with the kids and the extended family. Subsequent trips to Hawaii will have to meet or exceed the experience we had here in this unit. We had a great time. Comfortable stay, nice view, and amenities (included beach gear like chairs, sand toys, umbrellas). Would definitely stay here again with this host.

Celebrated 50th Anniversary with the whole family!

We had such a great time at the Honua Kai celebrating with our family in this unit and also unit 818. We were very happy with our units. We did not lack for anything. The roll away beds helped to make our sleeping arrangements work out nicely. The grandchildren enjoyed the pools, water slide and they really enjoyed the beach. The hotel offers a free photo shoot on their property which worked out perfectly for our group celebration. We bought food at Costco when we landed and found the Safeway nearby filled in anything we lacked. We found Footgolf at a local golf course was so much fun and a little variety from all the water sports for our group. We enjoyed our time and would love to return.

Wonderful, comfortable condo

Honua Kai is an amazing complex with 4 swimming pools, 2 hot tubs and excellent services. Duke's restaurant on site is a bonus. Their pool side service is fun and convenient but just go in knowing, drinks and food will be expensive and not that big....tasty but not cheap. Overall Honua Kai is for the traveler who isn't too concerned with budget but having a marvelous experience. Pools were exceptional and clean, towel service handy and all areas very well maintained. The grounds were simply divine. The resort itself 5/5 stars!! The unit we were in was amazing as well. Very well appointed, nice appliances (no-vent dryers, which means drying laundry takes FOREVER) and comfortable. We loved it, but there are some drawbacks and I cannot leave an honest review without mentioning those as well. First, the advertised grill on the lanai wouldn't light. This actually turned into a good thing, as we ended up using the pool side grills three different times and each time we ended up meeting and talking to other renters in the complex. Every single person we met was easy to talk to and friendly. So, in a way I'm glad the unit's grill didn't work. I did report it, so hopefully if this is important to you (it IS quite the walk to the poolside grills and back), it will be remedied. The other main drawback is that while the oversized lanai is truly amazing, the east side is directly above the loading dock for the building, so it can be quite loud, especially in the morning from about 7 until noon or so and daytime highway noise is constant. The views of the mountains to the east cannot be beat, though. The lanai also has a very nice view of the ocean, but it is restricted and the unit is just a tad too far from the beach to actually hear any waves, even at night when it's the quietest. If you're travelling with family and have people who go to bed early or sleep in late, just know that no matter how quietly the others try to be, you hear EVERYTHING going on in the kitchen and living room from both bedrooms. Noise cancelling fans would go a long way to fixing this. Also the bedroom doors tend to stick and the door handles had to be turned ALL the way to open and close the doors....impossible to sneak in or out of the rooms and not disturb the ones still sleeping. Overall, we were very happy with the unit and would most likely rent again. Strong 4/5 stars for unit.

To our knowledge we took the grill out of the listing description quite some time ago, and upon further inspection, we were unable to find it mentioned, so we are not sure where you may have seen it. Our unit was absolutely stunning. Great view of the ocean and the mountains.

Our unit, 820, was fantastic. The balcony was huge and you have views of the ocean and the mountains. The interior was spacious and well appointed. The beds are super comfortable and the showers are luxurious. They also have beach chairs, umbrella, coolers and other misc. items for use in the unit which was really nice to take to the beach. Everyone at the condo was super friendly and location was perfect. We will always try to stay here when coming to Maui.

Ideal Maui

We have stayed in many placed over the years and this was truly the best location! The room is perfect for 2 couples and the balcony is amazing. We have found our permanent location for our Maui vacations!

Amazing condo!

From the moment we stepped in this condo, we were blown away! The furnishings and appliances were top-notch. Every night we slept very very comfortably in the beds. The best part, however, was the patio that wrapped around the unit. The view was breathtaking! If we looked one way, mountains were behind us with double rainbows and if we looked the other way, a gorgeous view of the ocean lay before us. Superb! We also liked there were some stores, pools and restaurants on the ground level which was convenient. I would definitely recommend staying in this condo!

Perfect family vacation spot!

Our family absolutely loved this spot! You have a great view of both the mountains and the ocean from the balcony and can open all of the doors to take in the amazing breezes. The pools, restaurant, walking paths, fitness room and coffee shop were terrific. It was so family friendly and there is an abundance of things to do on this side of the island. I would highly recommend it!

Beautiful Property, Beautiful Penthouse Suite!

We were so happy with our stay at this location. However, there were a few pitfalls: This unit is very close to the highway, you can hear all of the highway noise. They were still doing construction on the units at the Westin - mostly landscaping. While the noise wasn't all that annoying, it did make for a lot of red dirt coming up onto the deck and into the room. It would have been nice to have been left with a working mop to clean up or an offer for a mid-stay clean to tidy up the deck and floors in the unit. I tried to clean them with a cloth, but it didn't work too well. The pool closure situation did turn out to be a bit of a problem, as the other pool was overloaded and there were not enough chairs. It seemed many were allowed to save chairs for hours and hours, despite signage to the contrary. I visited the front desk one time to get directions and a map. They were so rude, which made me very thankful we used Maui Resort Realty to book our vacation! Overall, the unit was lovely. It was well equipped and had everything we needed in it. The check-in and check-out was super easy. The staff at Maui Resort Realty was awesome. They went above and beyond for us. The views from this room are spectacular both toward the water and the mountains. You honestly cannot go wrong with this suite. Like I said, the only pitfall was its proximity to the highway. Having your own BBQ on the deck was a real treat.
