Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time staying in this unit, our third in Seabreeze. The location is unbeatable: quiet, right on the water, and walkable to Diamond Head, KCC Farmer's Market and Waikiki. We have it reserved for a 4th stay, we like it that much. Know what you're renting though, it's "vintage" and doesn't have new and modern appliances/cabinets/windows/AC etc. It does have an awesome vibe and cool decor and great layout. Captain Cook is awesome. The furniture could use updating.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best location in Waikiki. Apartment spacious but not luxurious. Many things would need to be fixed. Screens kept falling out of the window (due to heavy winds). Sliding door to Lanai was too heavy for a lady to push open. Immediately reported the major problems. Never got an answer from Captain Cook Resorts. What a pity. Why would we recommend it anyway? Location.

Great Location, Needs Some Work

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I know the Seabreeze well, having stayed in Unit 7 and Unit 10 on previous vacations. It is a wonderful building, built in the 1960s, located directly on the ocean with unparalleled views. Unit 7 received a total remodel shortly before we rented it and Unit 10 had not been remodeled, but everything worked. Unit 6, however, is in great need of a remodel and lots of things didn’t work. The first problem occurred shortly after we arrived, when the elevator periodically stopped working on January 5-8, then again on January 11th, then again on January 19-20. It needs a new elevator. At first glance, all the windows were dirty, several windows on the west side of the unit could not be opened, which defeats the natural flow of air through the unit (there is no air conditioning unit). The carpets needed cleaning. There are no cushions on the chairs on the deck (we borrowed some from the living room). The living room is very poorly lit, desperately needing some floor lamps. In the kitchen, some of the old plywood drawers were very difficult to open. In the master bedroom, one of the two lamps is in need of repair or replacement and the television could only be turned on and tuned with the manual button under the set. In the bathroom, the toilet paper fixture is misplaced. In the guest bedroom, there are no TV remote control units and we were without a functioning sink for a week and a half. On a windy night, the window screen over the bed blew in, landing on the pillow of the bed. Fortunately, the one occupant of the guest room was sleeping in the other bed. Had anyone been sleeping in that bed, they could have been severely injured. For the price we were paying, we expected better.

We have since investigated and addressed the other concerns you have raised. The property manager scheduled a deep clean of the unit along with carpets. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder!!!

Wir haben bereits zwei Urlaube in dieser Wohnung verbracht und waren wieder sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist perfekt, das letzte Haus in der Kalakaua Ave. Man wohnt hier vor allem sehr ruhig und ein bisschen ab von den Massen. Der Ausblick vom großen Balkon ist ein Traum, im Meer schwimmen Seehunde und Schildkröten vorbei. Wir haben bei unserer Ankunft die großen Glas-Schiebetüren geöffnet und mussten diese 4 Wochen lang nicht schließen. Man hört nichts außer dem rauschen des Meeres :-) Ein Spaziergang entlang am Meer ins Zentrum nach Waikiki dauert ca. 20 Minuten. Dort hat man endlose Auswahl an Essen, Trinken, Unterhaltung, etc... Der Zugang der Wohnung erfolgt über einen Aufzug mit Chipfunktion, so dass jeder Bewohner nur in sein Stockwerk fahren kann. Die Wohnung nimmt ein ganzes Stockwerk ein und man hat Ausblick in alle Richtungen. Tiefgaragenstellplatz ist inklusive, von dort aus ebenfalls direkte Fahrt in die Wohnung. Insgesamt sind alle Räume sehr hell, freundlich und modern gestaltet. Die Küche ist nicht gerade auf dem neuesten Stand aber funktionell. Wir waren sowieso jeden Tag in der Stadt zum essen. Klimaanlage gibt es keine, ist aber auch nicht nötig, da nachts alles angenehm abkühlt und immer Wind geht... :-) Die Kommunikationmit dem Vermieter Captain Cook Resorts war immer gut und unkompliziert. Insgesamt alles super, wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder!!! Thank you Captain Cook !!!! :-) Hope to come back!! :-)

The location is absolutely perfect, directly on the water, easy walk to restaurants and activities, but crazy peaceful. Surfing and snorkeling right outside your door, and a two block walk to San Souci beach (and the best beach bar in the city). The unit is "vintage" and has no A/C but the breezes kept us comfortable, and we loved sleeping to the sound of waves. A week in we put Seabreeze on hold for next year, yes, we liked it that much!

Awesome views on the water!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is clean and spacious with newer furniture. The bed is comfortable but everything else seems to have been chosen for looks over comfort. Management came through and got a comfy recliner, so kudos to them! Some issues with screens falling down in the wind, water coming in when it rains and light from the city (blackout curtains blow. Slept with an eye mask and sometimes earplugs when the ocean was noisy but having all that space and a beach downstairs was absolutely worth it!

Fabulous "Bird's Eye" View in Diamond Head

February 2017: Staying here on the 7th floor you will feel like you are in an eagle’s nest, with absolutely amazing views of Waikiki, the ocean, and Diamond Head. The southern wall is floor to ceiling sliding windows opening on to the lanai. We watched the Friday night Waikiki fireworks from our lanai (the show starts at 7:45 PM at this time of year), and were endlessly entertained by all the surfers, sailors, swimmers, snorkelers, and divers. The 11-story condominium building is only a mile from the heart of Waikiki and all of its activities, so we walked in most days/nights. It is nestled at the foot of Diamond Head, right on the beach, yet surrounded by a quiet neighborhood. The unit comprises the entire 7th floor, and security allows access to this floor only. There is a small private beach (access is by key fob) from which you can swim (or wade quite far out and still be able to stand) into the ocean through a sandy channel.
