Beautifully redone basement apt. Had exactly what we needed.The description is a little misleading by saying owners live in upstairs "unit" as this is their private family home with basement stairs leading to what I would assume was their main living space.We had no issues while we were there.

The place is obviously updated, very clean, good communication. A few minor points that are not necessarily deal-breakers - You can hear noise from the host upstairs walking, talking, etc. You do not have control of the air conditioning, you communicate with the host to set it. The parking is tricky. it would be nice if the host made space in the driveway. But, I think the price accounts for these.

Nice neighborhood. Updated nice space. Not very warm due to being a lower level of a house with no way to adjust temperature.

Excellent property in a beautiful location

We had a great stay in this property. Website description was accurate and exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities, and the living area is very comfortable too. We especially enjoyed the backyard patio with it's great view and plenty of room to sit down and relax, or enjoy a barbecue. Would highly recommend!

Love this cozy apartment. Everything was clean from the moment we walked in. View was wonderful. Not too far from where we wanted to go. Family friendly. Owner responded promptly. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Great location just outside Downtown Lancaster!

The place was nice and neat with all modern finishes. The two bedrooms had nice large beds with tvs and the kitchen was nice and new. The owner lives upstairs and lives there so being aware of the living situation is important but if you’re looking for a great view, location and place to stay that’s quiet and well appointed, this is it!

Bowling trip

We stayed while out of town on a bowling trip. Hosts were very quick to respond to any questions I had and very easy to work with. The unit was very clean and comfortable.

Whereas the apartment was clean, modern and lovely, there is something disconcerting about the family living above you. Voices, footsteps, music …yeah, not my thing. But, other than a family living above you, it’s a great place with modern facilities, congenial hostess ( she greeted us and took care of the problems we encountered and answered questions),nice outside view….

Great location to access Lancaster. Great communicator. Very nice hosts. I would not list this as an apartment-you are definitely in someone’s home. I am used to the sounds of a happy home and children-but at times it was as if we were in the same room. The rental could use a deep clean. Crumbs in the kitchen, fridge, countertops. No coffee mugs. Dirty tea cups in the cupboard and no kitchen rags to clean them. Limited silverware, a few plastic spoons and knives. Used tooth brush left in the bathroom. No napkins or tissues. The WIFI was spotty, so I was unable to use my laptop to check in on work and made the TV in the bedroom inconsistent. There is no control of the temperature separate from the main house. Freezing/sweltering-never comfortable. TV in the living room does not work. We did reset by unplugging/plugging back in. As a couple who travels frequently-this was an overpriced stay. I took the sheets off the bed to aid is cleaning, The pillows are stained and there is no mattress pad. Bedding messy and worn. There is street parking, we had to move our car a few times. We left earlier than expected.

Property was great… location was great…. Communication directly with homeowner was great but communication with third party broker (evolve)was not… did not get check in codes until asked for them. Dryer was not functionable even tho listed in description. Overall stay was great!

We enjoyed our stay here, despite initially being concerned about the nature of the space. We were expecting a private apartment but found that this is a finished basement in a family home. The apartment has stairs leading up to the main part of the home. There are shared spaces, like an office and an unfinished portion that is used for storage. On the first night, as we were trying to figure out where the bedrooms were, we stumbled upon these rooms and weren't sure whether to expect the presence of the owner. I also found that the bathroom wasn't especially clean. The owner did take time to meet with us and discuss our concerns and assured us that the space would not be intruded upon and also that he had personally cleaned it. He and his wife followed-up with us throughout our stay from that point forward to make sure we were happy. I mention it being a basement in a home because you will be aware that the family is there. While they were awake, you could hear voices and walking around, but by the later evening hours, it was fairly quiet (aside from the AC system, which was noisy in the one bedroom). That said, the pros easily outweigh the cons. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The space was beautifully appointed and mostly new feeling. The location is fantastic and there is a beautiful view from the patio leading to the apartment door. I would certainly stay here again despite a few quirks of the property.
