Enjoyed our stay. The only thing I feel you could improve is the mattresses. They were very uncomfortable. Other than that it was nice.

Nice location

We’ve stayed at several of these units on Heronwalk over the years and this one was a little rough. Smelled of mildew upon walking in. Our bedsheets also smelled like they sat in the washing machine too long. Needs a little updating. Location is great, and we loved the golf cart.

The place was clean however we felt the unit was not properly represented. The sleeper sofa is broken. The repairman came and “fixed” the sofa where the springs were advised to be broken only to find the sleeper sofa had to be slept at a 40 degree angle. Unit only sleeps 4. Trust me on this. Dryer had to run through three cycles to get it to dry things. I’m not a complainer typically but the unit needs some tlc in my opinion.

Disappointed

BEWARE!!! The unit has cockroaches. When we first arrived it was in the evening. The location looked great, it seemed clean and check in was good. We were exhausted so we went straight to bed. I’ve stayed in dozens of places all over and this was the first one this has ever happened at. There’s a difference between a tropical bug or two but when you flip on the kitchen light to make coffee and they scatter, it’s a major issue. I tapped a picture and they came out from the picture. Moved a coffee pot and they came out. I was in shock! It was disgusting and we couldn’t get out fast enough. I feel they had to of known. Whoever cleaned it prior to us coming had to of seen them. Or the people before? Just GROSS! The property management did relocate us to a unit near the beach however it completely ruined the trip. We got the unit we did specifically for my husband to golf and so we could use the golf cart to get around but that didn’t happen obviously. They charged us for the relocation. They did spray as we were leaving but not professionally.

Thank you, Marlo, for your feedback! It is unfortunate that you had this experience and we did have the unit professionally bombed. Since this is an attached unit these problems do arise. The bombing we have done seems to have worked and if the problem persists further action will be taken. We have had no complaints since your stay. When these types of issues arise and we more than happily move our guests we do not charge to relocate them. There are no charges of this sort in your reservation portfolio. We had hoped you would like the unit you were moved to since it had gulf views and just across the street from the beach. We wish you good luck and better circumstances with your future travel plans. Kind regards, The Destin Getaways Team

Okak Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property and location of it is too nice for it to be managed how it was during our stay. I make shakes for breakfast every morning so I emailed asking if the property had a blender of any kind. I was told "It should have one." It did not have one so I let management know. They said they would bring one by the next day. The next day came and they ever brought it by. They replied to another concern with the fact that they meant to bring it by. Thats very nice but does nothing for that fact that I need a blender.Wifi kept kicking us out from day one. Someone came by several hours later and after trying to fix our network without luck told us to just sign in to another units wifi. This worked so we were okay with that. Last thing is I got an amazon package delivered there on our 3rd day (the day before leaving). When I emailed about getting access to the mailbox I was told that they didn't know how to get access to it and that they didn't have the key. I replied asking how I could figure it out and got no reply so I handled it with amazon the next day. The next day several hours after we checked out and were gone I got a call saying they randomly found the key. So overall great plcace, great location, mostly timely response but not very helpful at all with the responses. It wasn't terrible but I visit destin often and usually the management or owner is very on top of everything. Maybe it was an off week for them...who knows but that it no excuse for being careless with my concerns. Will likely not be a returning customer.

Spacious apartment

The apartment is just as pictured in the listing. Pros: great location - central to everything, good golf cart, quiet surroundings, spacious apartment, nice furniture, great amenities for Sandestin. Cons: musty smell, terrible water pressure in master shower, very slow drain in guest shower that leaves you in ankle deep water while showering

Perfect beach townhouse!

My family and I really enjoyed staying in this home! Very welcoming, cozy decor and super clean. My 16 month old quickly settled in and was instantly comfortable here. We loved having access to the golf cart to explore the resort. Starter pack provided was fair as I usually pack our own kitchen and bath supplies anyways. There were plenty of towels and kitchen items to cook meals with. We will be back soon!

Great Place to Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was clean and just as described. The management company was very easy to interact with. My only issue I had was assuming there would be a blow dryer in the rental. The rental was in a great location. You could easily access Baytowne Wharf, the pool and the beach from the unit by the provided golf cart.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo offered views of the marsh and had wildlife. The kids loved it. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Having the golf cart was great too. This made going places and to the beach easy. The condo was great and the staff was super friendly around the resort. Lots of things to do in Sandestin.

Almost everything we needed!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great place for three people. We loved getting around everywhere in the golf cart. The pool was in walking distance. The rooms were spacious. Having a washer and dryer was great. Some things that the owners might consider adding would be a blender, hair dryer and beach chairs or some type of chair to sit outside. Other than that we had a super vacation!
