Great location with amazing views

We've stayed in Castillogrande several times and this apartment was by far our favorite place. The perfect location close to everything but yet far enough away from the crowds and noise. The views were stunning with lots of activities aactivity

Wonderful view, very clean and spacious accommodation .

Located in the best residential district of the city where the most distinct noise you hear comes from birds or large ships horns. Walking to Bocagrande is both a pleasure and good exercise after dining in one of the area’s great restaurants. The center of the city is inexpensive to reach by taxi or Uber. We spent two unforgettable weeks in Balcones de Castillogrande.

Stunning views

as soon as you walk in the building, you realize your in a special place, very clean and a lot of carĂĄcter. -the pool areas were fabulous, we seemed to have the whole area to ourselves -without a doubt, the best neighborhood in Cartagena very quiet but close to shopping and restaurants, the view of the bay from the terrace on both floors is priceless, definitely coming back!

The perfect hideaway for 2 or more!!

The property is beautiful. It is an excellent location. It is past all the busy areas of Cartagena. You can see both the sea and the land with amazing views day or night. It seems like you are on a private oasis away from the crowded streets. An easy area to walk to restaurants and stores. You have secure parking for a rental car which makes it easy to come and go.

A comfortable feeling of home!!!!!

For the typical rental in this area, this place is unique, homey comfortable, and architecturally beautiful. You have a big duplex apartment with ample living space indoors and an exceptional private terrace overlooking the bay. A fully stocked workable kitchen. Add to the personal space inside, you have the use of the pool which is surprisingly private and perfect for an afternoon of cool relaxation. Second visit done and third to come!!!

Perfect Castillogrande apartment

We had a long stay in Castillogrande in this beautiful apartment, and we could not have hoped for a better apartment and location. The whole building and the apartment have so much character, it really felt like you were in a special spot. Castillogrande is full of modern condos which (and we visited a few as have friends in the area) all look the same - white blank canvases with very little soul. Balcones is a truly unique building, with a lot of soul, and we felt very lucky to be there. The apartment itself was perfect for our family of four, it had everything we needed, quiet and friendly neighbours, and Gregg was so responsive and helpful throughout. If you are looking for a quieter location away from the bustle of centro, this is really the perfect spot. 10 min Uber from centro, 10 min walk from bocagrande. We would highly recommend this lovely apartment.

Quietest place in Cartagena, next to the best beach!

This place is a sanctuary to stay at. We experienced the best of both worlds: a short taxi ride to Cartagena's old town, and the peace and serenity of staying further from the hustle and bustle. The building is an architectural jewel, which is an experience in itself - - an opportunity to stay in a signature work of a renowned Colombian architect. Few units in the building, which meant privacy and tranquility. The apartment is split level; there’s a feeling of open space and floor to ceiling windows. We were so happy to have all the light coming in. Our group of four adults plus the odd guest spread out in the lounge chairs and deck chairs on the terrace every day. The view is animated across the Bahia to the walls of the old city and the active port. In the same frame I have a photo of a navy submarine and a fisherman poling his dugout canoe. The only downside is that only a handful of restaurants are within short walking distance The host helped us find a supermarket that delivers and several restaurants that deliver. We are booking our next trip! This was an exceptional experience, a very special place.

Absolutely wonderful apartment in quiet residential area of Cartagena.

We loved Gregg’s apartment! It couldn't be more comfortable in every way, or Gregg more responsive and helpful. The balcony overlooking the bay was a small slice of paradise - quiet, private, shaded, with a gentle breeze cooling it almost all day. This was very important because the heat humidity were intense. The rest of the apartment is air conditioned and furnished in a style consistent with the lovely architecture, the kitchen very well equipped for cooking (which we do), grocery shopping nearby, each bedroom comfortably separately air conditioned. We spent most of our two weeks in Cartagena in the apartment, because an injury kept us from visiting the city (only a short Uber ride away). Though unable to explore, the bay was fascinating, a constant source of interest. Directly across from us was a working harbour where the container and cruise ships docked, and small boats, either taxis, or pleasure craft went busily about all day. Some with tourists on board played music continuously and loudly in the early evening hours. That was not so quiet, but it was always over by 10:30 or so.The building is very quiet, well kept, the service people friendly and helpful, the two small pools great for cooling off, though lightly used. Altogether our stay was terrific, given we were confined by an unfortunate injury which kept us from exploring the city. For those who can and do explore, it’s a perfect, cool and quiet home to relax in after outings.

Paradise in Cartagena

Después de muchas estadías en Cartagena, encontramos un lugar mågico: Levantarse era un espectåculo con la vista al amanecer y a la bahía desde nuestro cuarto. El desayuno en la terraza, donde podríamos apreciar el mar. Si queríamos ir a una playa tranquila, nos quedaba a solo cuadra y media o si preferíamos nos quedåbamos disfrutando la piscina que esta rodeada de una naturaleza paradisiaca. Todo el personal del edificio muy amable y educado. Los anfitriones super informados con muy buenas sugerencias y siempre muy pendientes. Este es el sitio ideal si quiere estar cerca a la cuidad vieja, pero en un barrio tranquilo y elegante donde se puede disfrutar ver la vida Cartagenera. Ademas el apartamento impecablemente limpio.
