This is about our 5th visit to this wonderful property and certainly won't be our last!It was so beautifully relaxing and lovely to be able to use the paddleboards and dock.

Beautiful scenic location and pretty house. Right on the lake shore with great outdoor spaces - covered deck area with gas firepit; boat deck; firepit ready loaded for our fun; and more. The house suited us very well. A fully-equipped kitchen with every utensil one might need.... and FOUR different methods to make coffee! Lounge and beds were very comfortable too. Standard of cleanliness and accommodation was very good. We stayed for a week whilst visiting family in Greenwood which is a 15 minute drive away and this worked well for us. We will probably book again on our next visit there. Thank you Al and Bob.

Wonderful stay

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful place and we enjoyed it just as much as our first visit! The setting is beautiful and the house very well appointed and comfortable, we would not hesitate to book again!

A Jewel of a Lake!

We had a wonderful stay in the Homestead! The house was exactly as advertised: Clean, well stocked, and super comfortable with great views of the lake. We even had access to a canoe and kayak and spent time relaxing and fishing off the dock. Highly recommend and we will definitely return!!

Clean, quiet, lakefront

Loved our time at the homestead! The place was exactly as described with kitchen amenities and outdoor fun. Our dog loved roaming the fully fenced yard and we enjoyed afternoons on the dock and evenings by the fire. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Beautiful lakeside cottage

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the accommodation was outstanding and the setting was truly beautiful, overlooking the lake. The house itself was very well equipped, both inside and out and we had a lot of fun playing badminton and sitting around the fire in the evening, among other great activities. Very much looking forward to our return trip later this year!

Fantastic place

Loved it here. Super well appointed with everything you might need aside from your clothes & food. Even some toiletries provided. Super relaxing as well as lots to keep you occupied such as indoor & outdoor games, a kayak, books. Had a great time!

We were very surprised that the host lives in the basement of the house we rented. The ad says host onsite which we took to be on the grounds. Would reconsider coming back however the house was immaculate and very well equipped inside and out.

This home on the lake is a gem and quite frankly a great value. It had all the bells and whistles as advertised. Unfortunately since it was May Long weekend and typically cold and rainy, we didn't get to fish or enjoy the the private dock much. Instead, we got to enjoy the homes other amenities such as the covered patio with a fire table, darts and board games. The kitchen was well equipped for an avid cook, and the three different coffee machines were such a bonus for coffee lovers such as us. My only challenges was that there was a bit of mishap with the check-in process and as well, since it was a chilly weekend, the heat was off upon arrival, so the home was cold for the first day/night. I wouldn't let that stop me from booking it again in the future and would recommend it 100%. Thank you Al for sharing your gem on Jewel Lake with us!

This is a beautiful place my wife and I loved it. We will definitely be back. The only thing that caught us off guard because I didn't see it mentioned in the add. Was the fact that the caretaker lives in the basement. We like going away to be on our own so at first heard this it bothered us but really it was totally fine. He didn't bother us and the few times we seen him he was very friendly and helped with anything we needed right away. He keeps away and only engages as much as you want which was awesome. I will also say we have stayed in move than 15 cabins over the last 7 years and none better appointed than this one. We would have missed had we known he was in the basement. We are so happy we didn't miss this one. As I said we will be back. A real treat and don't miss this opportunity to stay at an amazing cabin on a fantastic lake and area.

Tranquil Cabin

We had wonderful 3 nights at the house, it exceeded our expectations. Large house has two spacious bedrooms and all linens and towels available. The large kitchen is very well equipped. I have to say that the most special thing is the two big windows facing the lake, wonderful views throughout the day. The living room had books, movies and music for if the weather was poor. Outside the house were open and covered spaces, the latter with a fire table. Very comfortable. The barbecue is next to them, so we were able to enjoy our evenings outdoors and barbecue while we chatted. Also right nearby is a grassy area and games available for sunny days. Of course we enjoyed the lake a lot. The property has places to sit and enjoy the view, swing on a bench or swim. The house is a good distance from neighbors. We could hear people in the distance, but without causing any disturbance. The entire stay was wonderful, the place is thoughtfully equipped and well appointed. We hope to return in the future!
