Great location, good price and clean, but lacking amenities such as dining room furniture (table and chairs) and cooking essentials. Lacked also night light table and bed room closet. Bathing soap and conditioner were missing. Kitchen stove light and preparation space were missing. It was a nice stay overall with some regrets.

Horrible

Came in to broken bed frame, bugs on bed and in bathroom floor was unlevel throughout the home. Very poorly cleaned with stains on the chairs and house rules paper. Duct tape on the floor by the front door covering a hole in the flooring.... We decided not to stay and got a hotel room instead!

Mediocre and over expensive

Situated between a busy road and railroad track. Safety measures listed not present. Sleeps 4 but only 2 can eat seated in the kitchen. Very expensive rate equivalent of a 4 star hotel bit does not offer the same comfort. Managed by Evolve with a very poor and bad customer service.

After discussing your comments with the homeowner, they’d like to address the following:-The seating issue in the kitchen has been addressed by adding two additional stools, and there are also seating options in the living room that can be used if needed.-The property has passed all required safety inspections, and we’ve recently installed an additional fire alarm to enhance safety further.-The train passing by is infrequent, but we understand how it may have been disruptive during your stay. -Regarding pricing, the nightly rate is set competitively, but we understand that additional booking fees from the platform can impact the final cost. Unfortunately, these fees are outside of our control.Thank you for sharing your review. Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible.

Smelly/dirty home

The home is unkept and very dirty. The kitchen smells so bad we didn’t use it. If you put anything in the fridge it will taste/smell like garlic. There are minimal linens and bedding- not enough for a comfortable stay. The garbage cans were overflowing when we arrived and never emptied. The bathrooms were disgusting. I don’t usually give bad reviews but I wouldn’t want someone to ruin their vacation by staying here until the owner cleans the place up.

The home is very sparsely furnished and decorated, but adequate if you don’t plan to spend much time there. Keep in mind it’s an older building, so there’s a musty smell when you enter, and noise from neighbors can carry between units.Overall, it was fairly clean, though we did notice some mold in the upstairs bathroom. The closets and storage areas need attention, especially one that still had items left behind (an old bed, shoe, suitcase, etc.).Arriving at night was difficult—no light was left on, and finding the correct door wasn’t easy.We mainly used the home to sleep and have morning coffee, which worked fine. However, it’s not a comfortable space for cooking meals or relaxing.Beds: Comfortable.Kitchen: Serviceable but lacks counter space and a dishwasher. No real dining table—just a small table and a bench.Outdoor space: Run down and not usable.Stairs: VERY steep.Some simple updates—like adding a dining table, kitchen island, and coffee table; improving the outdoor area; leaving a light on for arrivals; and adding some décor—would make the home much more welcoming and comfortable. Still, it met our basic needs for the stay.

Barely acceptable about sums it up

Spacious interior, new appliances, comfortable beds. Overall seems it is not ready to be rented out, needs MUCH more attention to make it a comfortable space. Disadvantages: has a cabin type smell, right off a very busy road/not walkable area, loud road and train noise (high speed train directly out the backyard area), sparsely furnished (no actual kitchen table), no living room coffee table, deck and backyard totally unusable/rundown. Deck needed some major power washing. No usable outdoor furniture. Very steep stairs to upper bedroom, some mold in upstairs shower. Upstairs shower leaked into downstairs bedroom ceiling. Provided 2 sets of towels for 3 people to stay for 3 nights. Shower supplies for 1 of 2 showers. Towel situation was remedied after communicating with owner. No dishwasher but also difficult to hand wash dishes…no sink stopper or dishcloths, 1 hand towel provided. Kitchen set up not conducive to really meal prep or eat a meal in the limited furnishings. Quite disappointed in our choice to stay here. Had I not already paid in full, would have found a different lodging. (Also posted on Expedia.)
