Fantastic property in a great location. Very well equipped kitchen. Super comfortable beds. The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep, but we- two 74 year olds -managed them. Cafes and bakeries nearby. We really enjoyed our stay.

What a fantastic find! This property is situated conveniently within walking distance to the many attractions that Ottawa has to offer—museums, parks, eateries… As described in the other reviews, the accommodations at Maison Quartier du Musee are very clean, and comfortable. In addition, Lissa, the host is very responsive to questions and needs. If we were to return to Ottawa, we would definitely opt to stay here again.

We had a great stay! The place was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was excellent, within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and shops in both Ottawa and Gatineau, which made exploring the area very easy and convenient. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others visiting the area!

The house has all the charm of an older property with lots of character and the location is very convenient. Close to the Alexandra bridge so you can walk into Ottawa, but you can also be at the Canadian Museum of History in five minutes. There is an excellent coffee shop on the same block. Lissa is a great host who made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent family vacation spot!

We greatly appreciated our stay in Gatineau. The property is walking distance from downtown Ottawa with loads of restaurants nearby. Thanks to our host Lissa, who provided many excellent recommendations on attractions and places to eat. Would recommend to anyone with a family for an extended visit to the region.

This cozy home is the perfect home base for exploring everything Ottawa-Hull has to offer. It’s tucked away on a very quiet street, yet conveniently located right next door to a dépanneur for last-minute essentials and just steps away from a great local coffee shop.Parking was a breeze with spots always available directly across the street. Inside, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. To top it off, the hostess was lovely—super responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!

Beautiful stay at excellent location

My daughter and I enjoyed 5 days at the house while my daughter attended a conference at the history museum. Location is ideal for walking across the bridge and exploring Ottawa. Lissa was a welcoming and responsive host. Would definitely stay again.

Living in an art gallery!

We loved this beautiful, comfortable home away from home. Perfect location for 5 days of exploring museums, galleries, theatre, canal and river and even the spectacular fireworks! Lissa was the perfect host, helpful but not intrusive!

Wonderful little duplex shared with the host. Lissa was welcoming and had some small treats waiting for our arrival. She explained local sights both in person and via her well written guide book. The house is cute and quaint and close to major attractions in Ottawa. Definitely recommend this quiet spot.

Wonderfully located for a visit to the Ottawa/Gatineau area. A well-appointed, charming home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. 6 mins across the bridge from Parliament; short walk to History Museum.

Great Place in Gatineau!

I came to Gatineau for some GOC work and this was the perfect place to stay. Homey, great value, great commute to HQ and into Ottawa. Lissa is a friendly, kind, communicative host. You really can’t go wrong with this place!

Beautiful home!

We came for spring break, house is beautiful, every room has works of art, hot water, great shower pressure. Lissa was kind, gave great recommendations and was always there for us. Walking distance to museum as well. We had an amazing stay in Canada, highly recommend!

Lovely base in Ottawa

The property was even lovelier than we expected, and our host was there to give us a tour & fill us in on the area. Beds were comfy, all the conveniences of home and a well-stocked kitchen. We will definitely return if in Ottawa again!

This lovely turn of the century home is ideally located for a visit to Ottawa. It is two blocks from the Canadian Museum of History and a 15 minute walk across the Alexandre Bridge to Parliament Hill. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance too. We had our bikes with us which allowed us to take advantage of the 200 plus kilometer urban bike path network. Our hosts, Lissa and Michael are very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here!

Gatineau Getaway

Charming turn of the century home , centrally located in downtown Gatineau Quebec. Check- in was seemless, and parking was conveniently located in a lot adjacent to the home. The property was cozy, clean and charming. It was fantastic to return after a busy day with family and friends in Ottawa to this cozy oasis and read a book. Conveniently located next to a great bagel and coffee shop and within minutes of all the tourist spots of the greater Ottawa region.

Great location and great host

We stayed here to celebrate Canada Day. Our host, Lissa, was very communicative and everything from check-in/out was clear. She also checked in to see how we were doing and helped accommodate us. The location is great! There is a small C-store with excellent sandwiches a couple houses down. The Canadian History museum is close by and most major attractions in Ottawa, including Parliament hill, are within walking distance. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful stay

My coworker and I stayed at this location during our trip for work. Such a nice unit in a beautiful location. Lissa was friendly and gave us suggestions on places to go, and was super helpful/ made herself available when we couldn’t figure out the AC. Only thing is I’d recommend staying here with someone you’re very comfortable with as the only washroom located in the unit is inside one of the bedrooms, and one of the bedrooms does not have a door. No complaints though, we really enjoyed our stay and we’ll definitely come back when we’re in town again!!

Amazing!

House was fantastic with super comfortable beds, pillows and sofa. The vibe is eclectic with unique art work and other items. Walking distance to many restaurants and places of interest. The host Lissa was the best and honestly I can’t say enough good things about her. She gets back to you very quickly if you text her for information. If in the area again would definitely rent this again.

The house is very cute, with little surprises and artwork everywhere. Lissa is very responsive and yet not intrusive at all. Good cafe, a sandwich shop and a bagel shop within a couple of minutes walk. Another 10-15 minutes walk to a supermarket, restaurants. As noted in the house description, this house is not convenient for a group who may want more privacy as there is only one bathroom inside the main bedroom and visitors and those who stay in the second bedroom has to go inside the main bedroom to access the bathroom. But for single, couple, families or even close friends, I find that is not an issue.
