The ocean view was amazing, during high tide the water is under the deck of this unit. During low tide there is plenty of beach access. The AC was not working correctly (it was fall so not a big deal to us) and to be clear there is not a central air conditioning unit in this condo. There is a sub adequate window unit in the living room and a more than adequate free standing ac unit in the bedroom. This condo's charm is its location not the ac.

The eroded beach was challenging. There were limited hours of sandy beach, 3-6pm and 6-9am, the rest of the time you'd have to jump off the stairs into 4 foot waves that pounded into the sand bags. The unit smelled musty. I did not find the place up to my cleanliness standard, and sheets were left in tubs,,to make the beds ourselves. Over all we had wonderful memories, but wouldn't spend that much for two nights there again.

Great, relaxed beachfront getaway

We very much enjoyed our time at this property. It is steps from the water, has a convenient little market and tiki bar right across the street, and has everything you need to enjoy sometime at the beach. Brewing at the far northern tip of the island, there isn’t much traffic and the beaches aren’t crowded compared to south on the island.

We absolutely loved staying here. The views were great and the places around were awesome. Having the waves at your balcony, just blissful. Beach part was a little weird bc of rising waters and beach erosion there was only a few hours you could stay on the beach before tide started to come back in. We loved it nonetheless. My 11 month old and 8 year old had the times of their lives.

Pictures are misleading about the beach

While we had a great time, this property is literally in the water. There is no beach to sit on unless it’s late evening during low tide. The pictures that advertise this property show quite a bit of beach front to enjoy. There really is none. We had to drive to a public beach access to enjoy a day on the beach. Property was clean and cute. Just disappointing about it the fact that there is no beach to sit on.

This unit was disgusting and smelled like mildew

Problems with the keypad not working. Unit smelled like mildew. Furniture was dirty. Carpet was dirty. Pots and baking pan were nasty. Limited time on beach due to no beach area unless it was low tide. One of the two chairs on the balcony was broke. We left early and went to Wrightsville beach. I have been renting condos for over 30 years at the beach and have never been disappointed like we were with this unit. I wouldn't recommend or stay at this unit ever again.

ZERO BEACH

I am giving this condo a 2 star. The condo itself was fine, it was tiny but we knew this going into it. There were 5 of us staying there (1 in a pack and play in the bedroom with us) and it was tight. I cannot imagine 6 adults staying in this place. The worst part about it was the pictures do not accurately represent the beach. There is ZERO beach during high tide....the waves are literally slamming into the porch so the beach is completely unusable for 80% of the day. Not sure how this place hasnt been swept away by the ocean. Luckily there is a public beach not too far which is much larger but the large sand bags, which are in substitution for dunes are such an eye sore. The property manager was very attentive and answered all of my questions promptly. We made the most of it and still had a good time but wanted to give a bit more insight into this place. Maybe the description will be updated along with the pictures to showcase the beach, or lack there of.

My husband and I have never booked with VRBO until this trip so we didn’t know if the place would be what it pictured online. It was and it is lovely. The view is breathtaking. We had a great four days at North Topsail. It was our very first experience for the trip as a whole and we are glad that we got to stay there. There were only two things that we would let people know about (in case you are like us and traveling seventeen hours to get there) : •bring trash bags with you. We didn’t know to bring one. There’s a market that you can grab them from as well if you make it before they close the day you arrive. • if you are staying there longer than two days bring a mattress topper or something with you. The bed is hard and does not feel great with a sunburn. They do have: • 4 beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, and an umbrella for the beach so you don’t have to purchase before you come to the beach. •books & games • binoculars (they were great when we saw dolphins outside on the porch) It was a great place and we hope to come back again. ☀️🌊

Husbands birthday getaway

First I’d like to say this little gem is perfect to get away and enjoy the ocean upfront and personal! It’s right on the beach! There was a super moon which made the tide even higher, so the ocean was literally right there at the deck! Beautiful views and even seen a pod of dolphins playing right in front of us! All information was emailed to me so check in and out was easy. Like the one review said, there’s no trash bags but we made do with a few dollar general bags. I want to clarify the cleanliness and why I gave 3 stars on that. The condo was very clean in bathrooms kitchen etc…however the fan in the bedroom was caked with dust so you couldn’t feel no air and the air unit in the living room was caked as well as the exhaust in the bathroom. We didn’t use the air conditioner in the living room so no big deal. There was a musty smell that was a lil strong as well but would dissipate after acclimating to the unit. I’m sure was due to moisture in the unit. The bed is on the hard side and some people like it, I however slept on the couch and my husband slept on top of the bedspread…we didn’t sleep together because I can’t do a hard mattress. Overall I give this home a 4 out of 5 stars. We enjoyed our stay and he enjoyed his birthday!
