DAS HAUPTHAUS

Das Haupthaus ist ein traditionelles Blockhaus mit 4 Schlafzimmern. In dem großen Raum werden Sie von Wally the Moose begrĂŒĂŸt, der von seinem Platz ĂŒber dem Kamin aus Wache hĂ€lt (er ist immer ein Hit bei Kindern). Das Erdgeschoss verfĂŒgt ĂŒber 2 Schlafzimmer - die Master-Suite (2013 komplett renoviert) mit einem Kingsize-Bett und ein GĂ€stezimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett. Die KĂŒche (im Jahr 2014 renoviert) ist fĂŒr eine Menschenmenge mit großem Schrank- und Vorbereitungsraum, einem großen KĂŒhlschrank und einem 48-Zoll-Wikinger-Herd mit Doppelöfen gebaut. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie einen gemĂŒtlichen Schlafraum mit 2 Einzelbetten. Der Keller ist in 2 RĂ€ume unterteilt - einer bietet 2 weitere Einzelbetten mit angeschlossenem Vollbad und der andere ist der Big Red Room, unser Cornell-Spielzimmer mit Billardtisch und Dartscheibe.

DAS GÄSTEHAUS

Das GĂ€stehaus ist perfekt fĂŒr Kinder oder eine Familieneinheit. Schlafzimmer 1 verfĂŒgt ĂŒber Etagenbetten (2 Einzelbetten) und ein Queensize-Bett und Schlafzimmer 2 verfĂŒgt ĂŒber ein Queensize-Bett. Die Höhle hat SitzplĂ€tze fĂŒr die Besatzung sowie ein komplettes Badezimmer.

UM DAS EIGENTUM

Sie haben viel Platz fĂŒr Ihren Outdoor-Genuss. Wir haben einen Weber-Grill auf der hinteren Veranda des Haupthauses sowie Picknicktische im Freien. Im Hof finden Sie eine schöne Feuerstelle mit Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien. Der Hof ist groß und bietet viel Platz, um Fangen zu spielen, einen Fußball zu treten oder ein paar Chip-Shots zu ĂŒben.

Um zum Wasser hinunter zu gelangen, ĂŒberqueren Sie die Eisenbahnschienen, die entlang der Ostseite des Sees verlaufen. Dies ist eine aktive Eisenbahn, jedoch ist es ziemlich selten, ZĂŒge zu sehen, und wenn Sie dies tun, sind sie sehr langsam und sehr laut. Die wenigen GĂ€ste, die wir gesehen haben, dachten, dass es ihrem Urlaub noch mehr Charme verleiht.

Von dort aus gehen Sie eine Treppe hinunter zum Treppenabsatz, unserem großen Deck auf dem Bootshaus mit vielen SitzplĂ€tzen und einem schattigen Pavillon. Eine weitere Treppe fĂŒhrt Sie zum Strand, wo Sie 4 Kajaks finden, einen Steg mit Bootszug und eine perfekte Badebucht, die sanft ins Wasser abfĂ€llt.

We loved our stay! It was homey, the large wrap around porch was amazing and the lake view was great

The property was rustic in a positive way -- it was exactly what we were looking for. It was our first experience renting a house and bringing our dogs and it could not have been better. The house and property is well kept, the kitchen well stocked and the owner was super helpful.

our family had an exceptional celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving at Cayuga Cabins.

The accomodations were perfect for gathering as a group (there were 12 of us)as well as for enjoying private moments with spouses, children, or grandchildren. The location allowed for quiet time in a kayak or on one of the many decks, or enjoying the wineries and the endless activities in the nearby town of Ithaca. We highly recommend these extraordinary cabins for an exceptional family vacation

Love this property...

My group of college buddies stayed here for Cornell homecoming and it worked out perfectly. The owner was super responsive to requests, the accommodations worked very well and easily accommodated our dozen or so attendees. Beautiful view of Lake Cayuga and getting to and from campus was not a problem. Made for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend of sitting on the porch overlooking the lake and reuniting.

Beautiful location

The house was beautiful and the porch was the ideal living space for our week. Tons of room and seating. The 4 kayaks were well used as was the boathouse deck overlooking the water. The home had plenty of space for all our friends and family. The kitchen was the best stocked any of us have ever stayed in. The only downside was not being able to see the dock area from the house, but the steps kept us all in good shape! Lovely home and perfect for a large group.

A Retreat Success!

We hosted our first "escape to the lake" womens retreat, and this location was perfect for us. We enjoyed a trip to the local waterfalls and spent time bybthe lake and around the fireplace. The kitchen was well suited for making incredible meals and gathering at the big table for conversation and connection. The wrap around porch was delightful for afternoon reading and conversations. It was a great location and experience!

A little piece of heaven on earth

A wonderful place. Cottages very comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed the beach front and kayaks. The large grassy area was perfect for family games and competitions. Steve, the owner, replied promptly to all questions. We will never forget our week at Cayuga Lake.

Great Spot on Lake Cayuga

Cayuga Cabins is an excellent spot right on the water of Lake Cayuga. My group of 12 was very comfortable with ample space and plenty of beds. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the spacious porch, sitting around the firepit, and taking the kayaks out on the lake. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The host, Steve, is excellent as well. He is very responsive and eager to answer any questions about your stay. He also provides recommendations for things to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again!

Heaven on the lake!

What a great house! Our family has used vacation rentals for several years...but none can compare with this log cabin! Steve was so considerate and checking to see if we needed anything. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is amazing, nice size for our group of 13! Nice beach area for the little ones to play, fishermen were happy, and the kayaks were great for all ages! Don't miss this log cabin experience!!!

Beautiful lakefront property for college reunion!

Our group of women from Cornell Class of 2012 and our partners (and a couple of babies!) had an amazing stay at this property the weekend of the total eclipse. The two houses were perfect for our large group and the lake views were unbeatable. The host Steve was incredibly responsive leading up to, during, and after the trip, going above and beyond to make sure a pack'n'play was set up for my friend's 1.5yo and to look for a pair of missing lost ear buds after we left. If/when we ever plan another trip to Ithaca as a group we will definitely consider staying here again!

Beautiful Lakeside Cabin - Well Maintained

The cabin itself was beautiful, well-maintained and fully stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. Had a quaint rustic feel, but still provided top quality amenities. The property included easy access to the lake and we took advantage of the included kayaks to go for a trip on the water. It was very private and secluded, yet only a 20 minute drive to Ithaca. The owner was friendly and provided constant communication to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely return to this location for any future trips to Lake Cayuga!

Fantastic Cabins for Vacation

My family spent 3 days here enjoying a fabulous time in the cabins and outside on the huge deck space and lawn. The accommodations are beyond wonderful! There is plenty of room for a relaxing great time. We rented a boat which really added to our stay, being able to dock at the cabins. This rental is by far a 5* property! Book it without hesitation! The owner communicates immediately to answer any questions you may have. Even though we were there for a memorial for our mother, it was by far the best family vacations we've ever had! Thank you Steve!

Great Family Reunion

Our family recently spent a week at the Cayuga Cabins and had a great experience. We are a large family group and with a wide range of ages -from 7 to 87! The property was perfect for our needs, plenty of outdoor spaces and room to spread out. We loved all of the outdoor porch and deck space for sitting and gazing at the beautiful lake. The interiors are nicely decorated and well kept up. Steve was wonderfully accomodating and responded quickly to all of my questions in the planning stages. I highly recommend this property, thanks for a memorable experience!

Nice Home on the Water

We had a nice family reunion at this property. Don't be afraid of the railroad tracks between the house and the water. We never heard/saw a train the whole August week we stayed. Very quiet. While the log cabin home was too dark to spend much time in, we greatly enjoyed being outside on the expansive and comfortable deck. The kitchen has all the amenities you need to cook for a crowd.

Absolutely beautiful!!!

We had such a fantastic time here that we extended our stay. From rainy days spend snuggled up by a fire, rounds of pool and darts, to kayaking during stunning sunsets, there was so much to enjoy. We definitely took full advantage of that awesome Viking stove! Rooms and beds were comfortable , bathrooms and kitchen well appointed, they even had a kitchen aid mixer, which made me as a baker, a very happy woman. The grill was nicely setup as well, it was under cover so we were able to use it even while it rained. The lake pavilion was a nicely situated and gave way to stunning views. We sat nights out there with citronella candles just soaking it all in. To start we did a big shopping at the Wegmans in Ithaca ,but the Lansing Market worked well for incidentals. Steve was very attentive , and checked in on us to make sure we were doing well, he’s also very prompt with answering any question we had. I highly recommend this property, we will be back for certain.

Wonderful, Wonderful Rental!

We travel with 11 family members every year: cousins, grandparents, etc. We love staying in homes versus hotels, it completely changes the experience and bonding. Our stay in this rental was our favorite year, by far. The views are beautiful, the home is extremely nice....it is even nicer than the pictures. Having access to two buildings worked great because everyone could be together yet have their own space too (our teenage kids took over the guest house). Steve and Lauren go up and beyond to provide you with all the amenities of home and they are helpful immediately if you email or call with any questions....Steve always responded within an hour, even if it was questions like: where can we rent boats? We loved the game room and all the Cornell decor too, there is such pride in the Cornell community! I guess the best thing we can say to show you how much we loved the place is that we will definitely return! Rent this home, you will not regret it!

Relaxing vacation in a beautiful location

I have to review with other reviewers that the pictures do not do this property justice. The cabins exceeded my expectations. The Master Suite is beautiful and spacious. The property was clean and well maintained. Steve the owner was extremely responsive to any issues or questions as they arose. I would recommend this property without reservation. There were 10-14 of us at any given time and we all had plenty of room. Kayaking was great fun and we rented a pontoon boat one day and did our own tour of the wineries by boat, which I would highly recommend. We also brought a fishing boat with us which we launched at Meyers Park about 6 miles south of the property. The Boatyard Grille in Ithaca was a great choice for dinner for 14 of us one evening. We enjoyed late nights at the fire pit, kayaks, paddle ball in the yard, swimming in the lake and playing pool. Everyone agreed it was very relaxing due to the spaciousness of the properties. The six adult "kids" stayed in the second cabin which worked out great! Highly recommend the Cayuga Cabins!!

Great Lake Getaway

This property worked out very well for our extended family of 13 ranging from grandparents in their 70s to adults in their 30s & 40s to children under 6 and infants under 1. The property itself is terrifically setup to enjoy the lake with a deck that we spent tons of morning and afternoon time on, a great fire pit, and a boathouse deck where we enjoyed some lazy late afternoons. Tons of ways to relax and enjoy the surrounding. The backyard was also big enough for the kids to run around to their hearts' content. We also made use of the grill for dinners, and the open kitchen layout in the main cabin worked out perfectly for multiple meal preparers to operate. The table could seat us all comfortably for big family dinners....not the easiest thing to always find in house rentals. The property owner was extremely responsive with any & all inquiries including setting up a crib in the room that we wanted in advance of our arrival. He is probably the most responsive property owner on VRBO I've ever encountered. The cabins have a nice rustic charm but that does come with one minor drawback: the walls and floors are a little thin, so when one person wakes up and moves around a bit, the sound does carry throughout. But that's not an issue if you have a fan going (which I believe all rooms were equipped with) or are anything but a light sleeper (or if you wake up first!). For example, the 10-month old in our party had no problems sleeping with a white noise machine in her room despite the rest of our group actively talking & moving around. However, we did find that perhaps it was best if the first person/people who woke up in the morning enjoyed their coffee on the front deck vs. inside the house simply because conversational noise tended to carry throughout the cabin. Oh, for those of you who want to spend time in the main cabin with the adults after you put your kids to sleep in the second cabin, our baby monitor's signal did work from one cabin to the other. Overall, we had a terrific stay. Many of the area's best known parks are within an hour's drive of the house. A few vineyards are within a 15-minute drive. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Perfect spot for our family getaway.

Absolutely wonderful!

What a beautiful location and property! It was really clean and handled our group of ten with ease. The covered, wrap around porch was a favorite place to have our dinners. One thing was that we couldn’t find some kitchen amenities that we are accustomed to at VRBO, like salt and pepper shakers- But there were both keurig and drip coffee makers, which was great for our size group. We highly recommend!
