The owners were so kind and accommodating in every way. Although the stay was not as we expect d!!! The hosts and their cottage could not have been better. I definitely hope to stay there again

Great Stay

Enjoyed the quietness of the area this house is located. Always crazy to imagine that there are still quaint places like this so close to the city. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay from sitting on the porch and listening to the birds sing to the cleanliness of the house.

Motocross Training Weekend

This cottage was just as advertised; plenty of space and comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, nice yard and patio. The cottage is centrally located to many of the motocross tracks and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would book this property again.

Not properly cleaned

The home appeared to be picked up, but it was clearly not properly cleaned between guests and did not meet basic cleanliness standards.There were pieces of food and debris on the floors, cobwebs in many corners near the floor indicating it hadn’t been swept in a long time, splattered residue on the fridge, wads of hair on the bathroom floor, and even boogers on the bathroom wall. Several pillows and sheets had a very strong urine odor.We were traveling with a crawling baby, which made this especially concerning, as the baby repeatedly picked up debris from the floor. We ended up vacuuming ourselves due to the condition of the floors; the vacuum provided appeared not to have been maintained in months. It was packed full with what looked like dog hair, and had a strong dog odor when emptied.This was a cleanliness issue rather than a minor oversight, and it significantly affected our comfort during the stay. If we have to pay a cleaning fee, the place should be properly cleaned.

Amazing, quiet, cozy

Such a wonderful place! Very nice throughout, private area at the back of the property. Fully stocked, more than any other vacay rental we have ever been to. Plenty of clean towels, pillows, blankets... the place smells fresh, not stale like some of these places do. The beautifully landscaped yard and gardens offered a very nice place to sit and rlax while the kids played. And the family dogs came by for visits, they were so sweet and nice and very gentle with our 15 month old! The water was hot and quick to come in, which is important to us for showers and washing hands! Cant say enough good things about our stay!

Cozy Place

Overall, it is a quiet and cozy home. We stayed there with our family during a visit home for a wedding. Clean and comfortable. My only complaint that the listing does not adequately address is the location of the one bathroom. It is not off a hallway or even a central accessible location. Unfortunately, it is attached to one of the bedrooms. So that meant whoever stayed in that room had no privacy as everyone was forced to go through their room to access the bathroom. That is a poor design and should be mentioned in the listing.

Would not recommend

We stayed at this property for a friend’s wedding this weekend. The house was difficult to find as it is deep on private property and hard to find at night, but we were able to find it. The layout of the house is odd in that the only bathroom in the home is located inside one of the bedrooms, which was difficult with a mixture of adult friends and family staying with us. However, the layout we could have looked past. One of the mattresses in the twin room was in fact not a mattress but 3 mattress toppers on top of one another, making for an incredibly uncomfortable night of sleep. I actually had to ask family who came later to bring an air mattress for me to sleep on because I was so uncomfortable. There should be an actual mattress in each of the beds if it is advertised as such. However, the biggest issue was that the only shower in the home did not work. The bath faucet turns on and there is running water, however when you go to pull the lever to change from the bath to shower faucet the lever fully disconnects from the faucet. This means that you cannot take a shower, and in order to wash my hair I had to fully lay on the shower floor to get my head under the bath faucet. Luckily we only stayed for 2 nights, but I’ve never had such a miserable bathing experience at a rental before. Overall, I would encourage the owners to update the home so that there are enough mattresses and that all of the utilities work. There was also a massive spider in my bed.

As for the shower, we confirm that it was fully operational prior to your arrival, as we routinely check all amenities to ensure they’re in working order.We were not notified of any issues during your stay, and unfortunately, after your departure, we discovered that the shower lever had been broken. We only wish we could have resolved this during your visit had we known.
