Beautiful home, comfortable beds and lots of space to hang out in. House is right on the lake. Great dock to sit or fish by. Beautiful yard, lots of chairs and a fire pit. We had a great time.

The property location was great. Dock worked out perfect and view was really nice. The closets were full of junk that we assumed was left over from previous tenants. One closet was locked. Second bedroom closet full of junk. Master closet was unusable until we took down ironing board and moved junk to shelves. The kitchen was the same way. SO much leftover stuff from previous renters that there was no room for our own stuff. Kitchen really needs a deep, deep , deep clean. The kicker was the couch by TV. Cushions were stained and we tried to turn them over to find the most disgusting items imaginable. I took a picture if you care to see. Garage same thing. Full of junk left by previous renters and very hard to use. A manual would be helpful for TV. It is to bad because the location is wonderful. The house just really needs a thorough cleaning.

We're glad you enjoyed the wonderful location, beautiful view, and convenient dock! We're sorry the cleanliness and storage arrangements fell short of expectations. Some closets contain household supplies, extra bedding, and guest amenities, while the garage stores additional items but still accommodates a full-sized pickup truck. We understand that the stored items made it difficult to find space for your belongings. Our cleaner was already aware of the couch cushion stains and looking into how best to address them. We also recognize your concerns about the kitchen's cleanliness and the need for clearer TV instructions. We appreciate your detailed feedback and the opportunity to review these areas for future guests.

Kabakona Bay trip 2024

All accommodations were spot on. We had a great week of fishing and relaxation. Golf courses in the area are top notch also. Great place to stay and we will be back.

great getaway in beautiful location

The house was spacious with gorgeous views of the lake. Close to bike trails and short distance to downtown Walker. We loved the location. Very quiet.

Nice place right on the lake

We had a pleasant stay on the property. Contact with the owner was greatly appreciated. Lovely view to enjoy coffee in the morning and a beverage in the evening.

House was in great conditions and beds were very comfortable. Very nice bathrooms and kitchen. TV set up was very good with cable. Everything worked well and dock came in very handy as we were a group of fishermen with our own 16.5 foot boat. Patio and grill plus fire pit were also very nice. Parking was excellent for both our pickup truck and boat trailer. House had everything we needed.

A gem!

We enjoying staying here, hate to give a great review, would love to keep it a secret, but it's such a great space! Everything you need, lots of special touches, lots of room for a group if stuck inside (which did not happen for us). Looking forward to staying again!

First week of June Vacation 2023

Great place and location. The fishing in Kabakona is great along with going over to Lake Benedict. Never went to Leech other than a cruise one night. We will come back again for sure.

Exceeded our expectations

We had a great stay. The location is private at the end of a drive and perfect for sunset views. Proximity to Walker is perfect and it’s an easy short drive to Park Rapids, Bemidji, and Itasca State part. The dock and boat lift were new and very nice. The owner was very timely with responses to our questions. It was a great fall fishing getaway, will stay again.

Everything we could ask for

This property was perfect. We didn’t know what to expect since we never rented through vrbo but it was beyond our expectations. Didn't need to bring everything we did but brought just in case and didnt use most of it. Definitely will stay again!!

Only good things to say!

Simply put, this is the nicest lake property we’ve ever stayed at. The house is newly remodeled & remodeled well. The property is a true gem with hundreds of feet of shoreline & 2 docks. The house is clean & thoughtfully appointed with comfortable beds & living furniture. The bathrooms are clean & beautifully updated, the kitchen is well stocked & clean, the living space is clean & comfortable. We caught fish from both docks & the boat lift worked perfectly for our 20’ fiberglass deck boat. The fire pit was a lot of fun, the sunsets & moon rises (both which you can watch from the property) were amazing. We hope to return next year!

Beautiful Lakefront Views in Quiet Setting

House is in quiet neighborhood and views from great room are amazing. Bathrooms are small but updated. Some areas could use a deeper cleaning and deadbolt on back door did not always engage without coaxing. The water in shower did not feel like it rinsed off completely. Suggest you add grab bars in bathrooms for safety. shorwering

Fantastic outdoor, decent lodging.

Situated on a lovely piece of land that gets sunrise over the bay and sunset over the lake, this house was a lovely weekend for our family. We enjoyed the comfy beds, fireplace, and well-tended outdoor space. There's a min-beach with rocks walls for exploring. The proximity to bike trails let us ride into town one day. The kitchen was well furnished, as were the bathrooms, including thoughtful items like hand-cream (because, Minnesota.) We didn't use the grill or screened-in porch. Abundant, plush towels. Everything was well cleaned when we arrived. What I most appreciated was the quality of the light moving through the trees. The sun was always to the south of the house, which has many S-facing windows. It was a great place to sit and read.
